Lexus is the best luxury brand! If im paying this more or more for a luxury car it better by bullet proof reliable! Unfortunately none of the germans are
This car is selling like hot cakes where I live. I see like 5 everyday. This and the new IS. Hot sellers. Don't let the negativity around fool you, the owners are very happy with this vehicle. I see a white with black trim F sport model in person and it is stunning. I especially love the front end. Very aggressive and sporty.
I have have driven the 2014 Rx 350 and I'm very impressed. The Rx was wonderful on the roads of Rhode Island. It's great for long drives. Three hours on I95 was a breeze. New York to Rhode Island. I'm getting older and the roads of N.Y.C. are to harsh on my Q50s. I think my next car will be a Lexus. I had an ES 330 a few years back. It was very smooth but, it was front wheel drive. I prefer AWD. I love the Q50 but, not for N.Y. With pot holes. Also all the road work everywhere it seems.
I just bought one used and besides the passenger strut going out at 20,000 miles it’s a beautiful car. Rides so smooth even with a busted strut and I hope it lasts me over 100,000 miles like my last two Toyotas . Btw I like the grill.
Sexy and aggressive. I like it. I love it in the F Sport. That interior looks really nice and that red color is the icing on the car. This thing gonna sale like hot cakes. TThe motor is updated everything is just better.
I test drove many & now own one it don't sound that quiet there's a bit of a growl when accelerating that i thought was uncharacteristic but the same growl was in all that i test drove '16 - '19 RX
The massive front overhang is what going to kill sales. It simply doesn't belong on that car. They'll have to do an emergency refresh like Honda did with the the civic a few years back.
I agree that it has so connection to a Camry other than the fact that lexis is the luxury brand of Toyota. But if you want to base it off of anything you could say Toyota Highlander I guess.
That grill is also my pet peeve. However if you add a middle bumper to hide the bottom spindle, like the white model at the beginning of the video, it makes it very nice looking.
idk i personally like it, i dont mean to be a fanboy but my mom has this car; i take it on canyon runs etc. whenever she isnt using it to commute literally 1.2 miles to work (just so u know this car doesnt fit adults comfortably, its not that big of a cuv) btw i get 16 mpg avg
All the broke-ass haters don't buy new lux cars. Lexus RX sales continue to rise this year. They sell well over 100k of these at about $50k a pop. Lexus knows what they're doing.
*Spoiler Alert* . Super conservative enthusiasts not approving of edgy Lexus styling. They're still predictively still frothing at the mouth over predictably styled, diesel station wagons with manual transmissions. I love stick shifts and for the most part always owned one, but you know what I mean.
***** Sure you can say RX is based on the Camry (Toyota K platform), but by the same token, the Bentley Bentayga SUV is based on the Audi A4 sedan. Both are using the VW MLB platform, if you insist..
+warset Agreed. I am fine with them using any Toyota platform. The thing is Lexus ES/ RX have increased the length of their wheelbase a little bit. They are now on Avalon platform. Avalon is a bit longer than Camry. RX has been one of the most successful vehicles ever.
This car looks horrible. First it looks like a Nissan Murano. Second, there is too much plastic around the wheel wells as is for the Nissan Murano. I have nothing against the Nissan Murano, but at this price point of $55K plus, I don't want them to be similar. I have a 2008, bought a 2011, and 2013 RX and it looks like I will be shopping another brand for my luxury CUV needs.
Lexus is making some of the ugliest cars out there. They where ok before. What the heck where they thinking. It looks like someone beat this with an ugly stick so bad that it's out of shape. Looks like a vacuum cleaner gone bad. It really sucks.
This thing is hideous. It has too much plastic along the wheel wells given the price of this car it's far too similar to the Nissan Murano. I'm not impressed Lexus.
Love the bold, cutting-edge look
Defines cutting-edg style, literally

Indeed!
Now that's a great looking Lexus SUV. Crisp white looking colour on it too.

I'd like to see some track testing and "hits and misses" like the MotorWeek I grew up with had.

One of the few cars that is better looking AFTER a crash test.

I lost it when he said soccer moms lmao
the rx is fucking beautiful idk what you guys are talking about
Sexy and aggressive. I like it.

After 5 years, you're wrong 🤣
One of the best selling generation LMAO!
MotorWeek is made possible in part bytirereack
Nice edit there, guys.
Camry based ??? Are you insane ? It's got nothing in common with a Camry . . It's a stand alone vehicle
I agree that it has so connection to a Camry other than the fact that lexis is the luxury brand of Toyota. But if you want to base it off of anything you could say Toyota Highlander I guess.
I just not feeling the look, im going to keep my 2015 RX and wait till the next design... Finger cross
the hybrid version is more fuel efficient in city than in highway???
Dat grill tho!

I get why people like this type of crossover but it's not practical at all.
Camry based?

Aztec 2.0
Lol!!! Aztec is still more less attractive!!
+kanobeez Yep, utterly ghastly.

Actually the RX is based off the ES sedan architecture.
+Tim Joseph ES and RX were both based on Camry chassis until few years ago. They are now on Avalon chassis, which is longer.
+Tim Joseph based on Highlander
warset Highlander is based on Camry. The new ES and RX are based on Avalon.

Really Lexus, what would EJ Toyoda have to say about this monstrosity if he were still alive?
👍🏽👊🏽😊
Why does emotional styling have to be so ugly from Lexus???
+shopwithaaron My thoughts exactly

One ugly looking crossover.
We owned a 2009 RX and loved it. I am sorry the new RX is hideous especially the front grille. They lost a potential repeat customer.

And yet ANOTHER overpriced 'premium' crossover suv...🥱
this one is well worth it and can last a long time. we have a 2019 rx ad 2009 rx and love them
