Back when I was 9 or 10 years old, we had a Mission Station church called "St. Christopher Magallanes" and I was asked: "Who is this saint?" And I researched him for a CLE assignment and I found out this man was a Mexican Catholic priest and a martyr. His last words was "Viva Cristo Rey!" on his right hand before he was executed by a firing squad.

Sadly, the church was destroyed by Super Typhoon Haiyan(Local Name: Yolanda) on November 8, 2013. It was rebuilt and became an official church but it was renamed to St. Joseph(The Farmer)'s Church and was approved by our Archdiocese. Only the statue of him, his hymn(I still sing that hymn) and a feast day(May 21) remained. 😔
