Aa popular song and jazz standard written by Gerald Marks and Seymour Simons in 1931. First performed by Belle Baker over the radio and recorded in December 1931 by Ruth Etting.
The only jazz that sucks is “smooth jazz” and fusion jazz. Smooth jazz is hip hop with a saxophone solo, fusion jazz is just dreadful. Crooner jazz is great, but other acts like big band of Glenn Miller or Benny Goodman or Glen Gray are equally good, or combo jazz like Miles Davis or the Dave Brubeck quartet. Then others, like New Orleans jazz with Louis Armstrong and Fats Waller. Or, female vocal jazz like Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, and Doris Day. Other than fusion and smooth jazz, there’s not much to hate. Bublé is great in modern jazz, I love his music so much.
"All Of Me" All of me, why not take all of me? Can't you see I'm no good without you? Take my lips I wanna lose them Take my arms I'll never use them Your goodbyes left me with eyes that cry How can I get along without you? You took the part that once was my heart So why not take all of me? Your goodbyes left me with eyes that cry Now I'm lost without you You took the part that once was my heart All of me, why not take all of me? Can't you see I'm a mess without you? You took the part that used to be my heart So why not take all of me?
All of me, why not take all of me? Can't you see? I'm no good without you Take my lips, I wanna lose them Take my arms, I'll never use them Your goodbyes, they left me with eyes that cry How can I? Get along, without you You took the part that once was my heart So why not take all of me Let's go, let's go Your goodbye, left me with eyes that cry Now I'm lost without you And now that you took that part That used to be my heart All of me, why not take all of me Can't you see, I'm a mess without you You took the part that used to be my heart So why not, take all of me
I really like this version, particularly the way it contrasts with Frank Sinatra's and Louis Armstrong's versions. But I must say, Billie Holiday's version is one of my favorite interpretations of this song because she makes you think about the lyrics in a different way, making you wonder about the romance the lyrics describe (you don't know for sure whether the lovers will have a happy ending). Michael Bublé's version (as well as plenty others, as Luciana Souza's one) does that too.

"All Of Me"
All of me, why not take all of me?
Can't you see I'm no good without you?
Take my lips I wanna lose them
Take my arms I'll never use them
Your goodbyes left me
with eyes that cry
How can I get along without you?
You took the part
that once was my heart
So why not take all of me?
Your goodbyes left me
with eyes that cry
Now I'm lost without you
You took the part
that once was my heart
All of me, why not take all of me?
Can't you see I'm a mess without you?
You took the part
that used to be my heart
So why not take all of me?

All of me, why not take all of me?
Can't you see? I'm no good without you
Take my lips, I wanna lose them
Take my arms, I'll never use them
Your goodbyes, they left me with eyes that cry
How can I?
Get along, without you
You took the part that once was my heart
So why not take all of me
Let's go, let's go
Your goodbye, left me with eyes that cry
Now I'm lost without you
And now that you took that part
That used to be my heart
All of me, why not take all of me
Can't you see, I'm a mess without you
You took the part that used to be my heart
So why not, take all of me

well who agrees this should be the 1st result when searching 'All of me?'
John Legend's song is pretty damn good too. Both are great so it doesn't really matter.

I think Frank Sinatras is the best
There's a tiny bit of background noise that makes it seem like a really smooth live performance :)
I'm here because of Queen Yuna❤❤❤

sorry- WHO UNLIKED THIS OMG
Waiting for Seth MacFarlane to make his version of this song.
Please no more of his attempting jazz standards. He can stick to making crude TV shows.
Does anyone know the name of the piano player on this recording?
:)
very very good but after Willie Nelson
