Van, I always wondered why I hated church with a passion as a kid and you put it perfectly with your impersonation.
I could have seen myself getting a lot more involved had it been with a pastor like this. I never cared for singing, but it does seem like if you let loose like black churches it must be quite the experience.
Letting go is something a lot of people do not do.
Singing is good for the lungs, we had a Pastor that could have been singing Opera also helped enjoy singing.
From the moment you get to the door of those holy filled churches, you feel the spirit flowing right through you. It’s addictive. There is no other feeling like being in a church filled with those who are connected to their creator. Gives me chills just thinking about it. I grew up southern baptist. And yea, they would get loud and shout and you would definitely stay on your toes. But when I’d go to my best friends church right up the road (it was a mostly black church)… words could never describe it. The church was never meant to be a place. It was always meant to be the body.. the people. Those who have put the place over the people do not have good intentions. When the church is alive, it flows through every person there. You should most definitely experience a spirit filled church. I think this country wouldn’t be in the state it’s in now if more of us were filled up with the Holy Spirit.

I'm 56 yrs old. And white. I grew up in Arkansas during the 70's - 80's I'm a 67 model.
In my youth during Arkansas I never new racism. Where I lived in Arkansas it was 25 ' 30 years behind times. Everyone was poor. So early in life I learned no matter what color our skin was we all need God, air, water, and food to live. We all want a roof over our head. And we all need love. I never once said I had a black friend or a Mexican friend or a Vietnamese friend. I referred to them simply as my friend. Or my neighbors. And if talking to an adult it was always sir or ma'am. Race and color had no recognition. I didn't experience racism until I moved to Dallas tx while still a young teenager. I can tell you I've learned more about than I ever wanted to. And it's from all sides. Racism is alive in all races. Now this is the United States of America. And as a nation we need an America 1st mindset. These illegal invaders are like a plague of locust they will devour every resource America has. And then like locust leave nothing and move on and destroy another country.

I was raised Baptist. When I was a teen, I visited a Jesus Name Pentecostal church with my boyfriend. We arrived early, before other people but a few were praying at the altar. And I’m not kidding when I tell you…when I walked one step through the door, a warm liquid feeling drenched over me. Started at the crown of my head and gently draped down over my body to my legs and feet. It made me shiver. At the EXACT SAME TIME, a sweet scented perfume surrounded me and immediately bro’t tears to my eyes. My boyfriend described the same exact occurrence. I was raised in church, but I never EVER experienced anything like this before. My boyfriend and I eventually became members; were baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the Holy Ghost. Yesterday we celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary. God richly bless this pastor and this young man bringing us truth. ✨🙏🏻🇺🇸✨

Hello brother! Now I’m not trying to blaspheme, so please forgive me if I’ve offended you. I’ve heard this a couple of different ways!
First there’s the nation of Israel that we are all aware of. Yahweh used the nation of Israel to reveal Himself to the world. After Jesus is born in the flesh, crucified, and later resurrected, the ability of the faith to be made accessible to Gentiles also happens! Remember, there are dark demonic spirits behind the false “gods” other nations prayed to (such as Baal, Ashtorath, etc). Christ dying on the cross was God taking the punishment of our sin upon Himself. Now any person that believes Jesus is Lord, lives accordingly, and believe that Jesus lived in the flesh, died, and resurrected can be saved!
The second way I’ve heard it is something called “replacement theology” where Christians are considered to be the “spiritual Israel.” Remember, this is about the “Kingdom of God.” In replacement theology, the promises given to Israel are now given to the Church.
