Damn i used to spend half my life on that bridge near to Garringtons , always remember pair of Thornaby cl 31s or a 47 on the early morning oil trains , and days sat in the bankers cabin hahahah
You could either walk down along Stoke Road , turn left into South Road which at the bottom went into 1 of the car parks of Garringtons , walk down there, across the football fields , past what used to be the club and just round the corner was the bridge . Other route would be carry further along Stoke Road , eventually turn left into Newton Road and left again at the end of there , cant remember what the road was called then but if you continued walking along there past the factories you eventually came to the bridge .
SPLATTERGASM666 Oh I see, cheers. Can you remember if there were still remains of track on the Garringtons siding, or had it been lifted? The railway bridge was still there then, it was removed after.
Yes i remember the siding were still there leading to Garringtons , as was the bridge , spent many a day sat on there or playing football on the pitch next to it Garringtons was still open the last time i was there , moved away from Bromsgrove around 17 years ago , cant believe how it has now changed
Good footage, shame these don't run any more.

How did you get to Garringtons Bridge from the station back in the day? Did you have to take a long detour because the footpath wasn't there?
