Hello, I followed all the steps in the video, I replaced the HD with the SSD and then I went to turn on the notebook and the screen wouldn't turn on and kept beeping nonstop, could this be because this problem is happening?
@@EpicunboxTVI removed and cleaned the memory modules, and even so the problem continues, the notebook keeps beeping 3 times in a row and the cooler keeps making a lot of noise and the screen stays black all the time and nothing appears
@@krmods2024 it is much possible that you did not put it back together properly since the fan got noise somemore, pls send to nearest pc shop to help you resolve your issue.

Of course you can, you will just have to make sure you buy the correct size caddy which is 12.7mm(if i am not mistaken), there are 9.5mm one for newer laptop which is slimmer. You will also have to select your boot sequence in bios if you wan to boot from the new installed caddy with ssd.

This model is quite rock solid but it depends on the condition of the laptop itself since you are going to purchase a used unit. It all depends on what task you are going to do on this laptop, however if you are just using it for light browsing or movie the i3 model is perfectly fine, if you are going to use it for work such as zoom meeting / microsoft word/excel/powerpoint etc i would recommend the i5 model as it will have extra processing power. Hope this recommendations will help you. For the price of $224.00 i think it is acceptable but would be far more better if it equip with 256gb ssd storage.
As long as SSD in caddy is detected in BIOS, you should be able to complete the windows installation with no issue. i have done this alot of time on different laptop no issue for me.

the processor is quite old to support latest gen graphics card unless you have some old model graphics card to pair with since the latest gen will be bottleneck by the cpu. I think the replacing the screen with a 3rd party one won't cost you that much nowadays since it is a old model already.
You can if you know what you are doing, you will have to find the same variant of processor which supported by this mobo in order for it to work. But in the end i still don't recommend you to do it.

SSD changed is a must if you want to notice huge difference speed in terms of boot time, software programme launching speed, i mean SSD will take your laptop to the whole new level. clean & reseat your ram module. if you have 2 ram pls use one to boot 1st.

Just a normal install procedure, bios selection set to UEFI and it should work.

what version of windows are you installing? if image created using rufus for win10/11 you will need to select UEFI

Not recommended as the spec are almost updated, get smth newer than this spec perhaps. This laptop will work for light/normal office work.

You may check the official spec for V3460 on the website, for SSD i don't think it would have any issue. RAM should be sodimm DDR3 kit.
