We were lucky to have built our house with a different builder, 11 years ago. To this day we've had no issues, knock on wood. However, the same could not be said by most of the neighbors who used the builder you had mentioned. Also, they had offered not even comparable infrastructure warranty to ours (we got 10 years). The kind of (infrastructure) warranty a builder offers should def. factor into a buying choice, as it speaks volumes re: the trust they have in their own product. Just my opinion, of course

New construction doesn't sound too good, although a newer home in an already built community might not be bad.
