This video was created not shame other Camarero’s but to educate others.
Vesting an image is also a tradition… like Sta Ines de Bulacan, she wears a dress like a ball gown pero hindi natin masisi toh sa mga nagbibihis sa kanya kasi ito ay tradition na… Sa observarion ko, sa Spain medyo normal na sa kanila ang over jewelry but still ang face pa rin ng image yung nabibigyan ng attention. 😊
I agree to you kuya but kuya ahl is just saying we need to be aware of the liturgical guidlines specialy in the principle of noble simplicity, liturgical colors and iconography. Thank u tradition is good but we need to correct if needed.... Btw I'm a seminarian. I will include u in my prayers God bless....

Im a fashion designer at may inaalagaan akong Sta Veronica.. omg super guilty ako dyan 😥 im been doing this since 2011 at ang santo ko palagi inaabangan dahil every year bongga at iba ang damit.. Pero after watching this marami akong narealize sa mga mali ko 😬😬😬
Kami po gumagamit ng colors such as yellow and pink pag palm sunday procession at easter sunday kasi happy event naman yun. Pero pag myerkules at byernes santo violet at black lang

For me pag holy week lets just stay on the liturgical colors... total its a burial march diba why would you use pink and yellow and bright colors...

spanish tradition kasi namana natin that is why lavish ang pagbihis natin sa mga icons natin sa passo. Sa spanish tradition mas lavish mas giving due commendation and celebration sa mga imahe .
I agree with not putting over-flowing jewelries sa boxes na hawak ng mga poon, like, bat mo naman papa-apawin yun e di ba nga itinatago nga yung box na yun?
Also, carrying multiple symbols/iconography makes your poon prone to breakage. Pag sobrang bigat na, baka malaglag yung mga kamay, di ba?
And keep away from pageant crowns/pageant motifs. Wala namang Best in NatCos sa dulo ng prusisyon e.

Images of Jesus and Mary should/can be dressed grandly due to the obvious reason of their heavenly status. In this vid, he is referring "more" to the holy week images where a Sta Juana is dressed lavishly (despite the theme which is sorrow) than a simply black-dressed dolorosa.

I presume the Sta Ines of Bulacan was dressed by these women who are not guided by the liturgical rule on the humbleness and correct depiction of images. Moreover, the authority to instill this rule would be by the parish priest from time to time who I presume none of them had the ounce of interest or care to impose such. Later on, as no one bats an eye on this incorrect practice, it became tradition and the tradition became the norm. I also think that the usual enthusiasts of liturgical rules on saint's iconography and clothing are men. I think that's also considerable. I would be surprised if someone meddles in their way of dressing Sta Ines de Bulacan.

Dito po saamin, yung santa veronica po, santa maria magdalena at si santa juana po, many years ago nakita ko po mga bakla umaayos, na parang walang pake alam po, binibihisan po nila ng nag lalakihang ball gown at pati korona, hindi ko nga po alam kung sila yung camarero at hindi lang talaga po alam kung ano ang ibibihis sa santo or pina ubaya lang sa kanila at kung ano ano na po pinaggagawa.

I respect the traditions of the devotees of sta. Ines de bulacan but as a student of a school under the same saint. I think dressing her like that doesn’t fit her.. She is a virgin and martyr. In her iconography she also holds a lamb a sign of her purity. And i think wearing a ball gown + in a dark color it does’nt fit it po..
