I am a Taiwanese and I play in the orchestra if my school We played this song for perform I like it very much that is so great！(I am only thirteen years old)
I feel as if they made the song sound to light and happy. This song is supposed to represent the devil and his horde of skeletons throwing a secret party during the night and then going into a panic as day breaks.
That first part, before the famous Eb and Ab hang notes was waaay out of tune. Intonation was pretty good for the rest of the piece though. Tone on the staccatos use some work though.
Go violas! You are just as good if not better than violins! More haunting! Xxx
i know we can go very high if we want and a much richer and lower range too

Imagine this 4 violist playing again this piece after 10 years, 12/December/2012 to 12/December/2022.
I always thought this meant for a viola, not a violin... It uses mostly the lower notes of the violin, I like it better on the viola

Pretentious much? It's an arrangement. It was great.
Your comment reminded me of a scenario from the battle for Wesnoth. But the interpretation was interesting.
