How are some people saying that they lost interest in the choreography? This is one of the most captivating pieces I have ever seen. It's beautiful. It really is. I was on the edge of my seat.
Love, love, love both Eric Underwood and Laura Morera in this. They are the perfect choice. I’ve watched it so many times and never get tired of it. I have to revisit every month or so. It’s just so damn incredible.💕
I come back to this again and again. Brilliant music, choreography, and dancers. I only wish I could have learned even part of it back when I was in training.
I've watched with amazement, surprise, and sheer delight, at the way the totally unique way, Wayne McGregor works his choreography with the Royal Ballet's dancers. To me, this is stunning, dramatic, and shows off the divine bodies of Eric Underwood, and Laura Morera. This demands a very high class of balletic skills, which they certainly have, and a different dimention and understanding of their bodies, to even attempt, to carry it off. With the intense music, it's brilliant and different. BRAVO.

30% ballet, 70% gymnastics, 100% awesome. The strength, grace and beauty in this routine is remarkable. To have this much control of one's body must be wonderous.
Ok, not everything outside of classical ballet repertoire is automatically gymnastics. That's fast becoming a catchall term instead of lyrical or contemporary, though there is a huge dance element to RG, which also resembles Chinese classical dance.
I agree with the 100% awesome, but being classically trained myself, I would have to say it's 90% ballet, and 10% other. I can tell you these dancers and this choreography is almost all classical stuff. They start and end in basic ballet positions...lots of fifth, first, and second positions. A dancer can't begin to do this choreography without being fully classically trained. Very little gymnastics here. Their lines are immaculate. I love contemporary ballet.
These choreographers and their troupe took ballet to a whole new level of sensuality. There are lots of contrasts - sophisticated and very dynamic dance steps with a minimalist decor, seemingly their bodies are fragile and delicate yet muscular and strong. The movements, the music everything is absolutely captivating and breathtaking from start to finish!
Art is in the eye of the beholder. It's subjective. Just because someone doesn't understand it doesn't mean anything is wrong with them, they are probably more in tune with a different type of art style.
Yeah, sorry. I'm one of those who found this odd. I can imagine some pretentious choreographer pushing the boundaries and crying at his own weirdness. No hate for the dancers, but the dance was so off for me. But, each to their own; if you like this sort of thing.

I am entranced by the enchanted emphasis on the flexibly-demanding techniques, the complex pose compositions, fluid transitions and the requisite partner synchronization thereof.
I would love it so, so much if they did a life broadcast of Chroma, since I don't live in England. Okay, because it probably is too short on its own, they would need to add another ballet, but hey! I'd most definitely not complain.^^
It's not art. It's an arrogant attempt to create "artsy fartsy" and "cutting edge modern art". We all know that isn't art. They are just making up for their lack of talent.

I found this really interesting to watch, though it put me on edge. It takes this very traditional dance form usually hyper - focused on beauty and grace, and twists it. The music is classical, but jarring and repetitive. The choreography showcases this outstanding technical skill using ballet's movements, but it's edgy and sexy and distorted, not how I think of ballet at all. And with their faces but really matching their bodies, the whole thing is a bit disturbing. Really cool, and very well executed.
This unique and very expressive! Immediately visible beauty of the classical school. That's the beauty of the modern approach: to show the charm of the dance with others methods, but very beautiful methods.
