I know you love a good bargain but wanting to pay $3.50 for a handmade dress is too much of a bargain. As a person who sews it’s not just a quick stitch up. You are not going to sell them for a bargain…just saying. They need to make a profit also.

New Patio: you mentioned morning sun hitting the new patio and the need sometimes for an awning. When we lived in Italy we had that issue on the patio, off the kitchen, where we would have our morning coffee. We installed a retractable awning on the side of the building and when needed cranked it out.
Several US companies now make them and they can be angle adjusted as well. They work well for both shade and to keep off a light rain, to extend the use of the outdoor season in the spring and fall. These days they can even be motorized, but ours had a hank crank that opened it up with about a minutes work.
I know I've said this before...but I so look forward to Sundays and Wednesdays. Your videos are so fun and positive. They put me in a good mood.

Lately I am overwhelmed by reselling! So much work! If you count the hours one works, the profits are not that high. Byers should know the work that sellers put behind the scenes
I am a Hobby "Everything" seller. It takes me alot of time to prep and list so many unrelated items, it IS alot of work but very enjoyable.

Agreed. I just started reselling in March. I’m the same age as Karen and wanted to see about supplementing my income (I retired 1 1/2 years ago). Recently I realized I’m working almost as much as when I had a “real” job. It also seems to be ‘feast or famine’. Early last week I didn’t sell much at all, then the weekend came and Whoa $$$! It would be stressful for me if it was my only income.

From a reseller’s position I totally get wanting those dresses for a good price, but as a stitcher it would break my heart to sell them for so little.
Karen reminds me of an old boss o had, working hard, making big money. I learned a lot from him... is it me or does she seem almost giddy with joy when she is with Rodger! It's a very good sign at our age. He seems to be getting less camera shy.
Oh rats! I would have bought that sewing basket. They are so hard to find in such great condition. I would love to come across a big box of yarn. I am always looking for it.

@@kathryntify The girl could have said no and she did ended up coming up to a price she was happy with. Karen even said, she was more than welcome to say no to her offer and that she just had a budget. It's a yard sale, yard sales are for haggling. You should never feel bad if the person agrees or works out a price they are happy with.
I asked my son for a ride to the Humane Society to drop off some donations,and asked if he wanted to look around,he ended up adopting a 3 legged dog that was hit by a truck,she is precious and doing fine,and I was just dropping off some stuff 😊

Very few wonderful sales like you have in PA here in NM. Ive noticed OR is great for thrifting and resale also. You find such good deals. And- how is it that Roger, a "fine figure of a man" as my Mom would say, was hanging around available? Just waiting for you to happen along I guess!

I’m reading all the comments about how cheap Karen paid for those dresses. Keep in mind they are used, the girl got rid of them all and made $70!! Reselling is very time consuming. People do not realize how much work is involved in reselling online. I can tell you it probably isn’t even worth the time and money Karen is going to put into listing those dresses. The yard seller is probably so ecstatic that she made $70! I know I would!
Maybe sometime you could explain the handmade dresses. Who typically buys those? Amish or Mennonites or both. I guess i just figured they made their own.

The residents in that area of Pennsylvania have unique items for sale. It was fun seeing the Amish women with their wagons & pony drawn carriage. I have a suggestion. Perhaps make an Amazon wedding gift list for your subs who want to send you & Roger gifts. That way you'll get exactly what you need. I had to close my P.O. Box because my subs inundated me with kitchen gadgets, appliances, cookware, dishes, sets of knives, dish cloths, aprons, clothing, scarves, jewelry, etc. I was receiving packages daily. All were beautiful & given with love & from the heart, but I ran out of space. It became overwhelming trying to keep up & send Thank you notes & I have a very small channel compared to yours

Wagon Style Carts often take up too much room in a car. When I’m not hauling a trailer, I’ve found that taking one of the quality made fold-up hand trucks is a good compromise. The frame/handle collapses down and the wheels fold in, so when it isn’t needed it’s smaller then your purse.
When folded out, it can carry a good stack of boxes or bins. Sometimes I’ll bring along a milk crate and bungee cord, so loose items have a place to go right into and an IKEA bag can ride on top of the milk crate, staying off the ground and away from the wheels. A well made one only takes up about 3 x 14 x15” of space and can store either flat or vertical.

I did thumbs up and down on the dresses but have decided Karen made an offer, the woman had time to decline yet she took her time then she made a deal. All good. Not for us to judge that transaction at all.

Nice grouping of yard sales. I went to the Berlin Ohio (Amish) community yard sale a couple of weeks ago and most of those Amish sold Home bakes at their yard sales.
It's "pitch" horseshoes in my area.good fun for not much investment.
I do hope that you bought those canisters even if the crew it did not have a stopper you can always use a cork I purchased one from an auction and did not have as many pieces as yours and ended up selling them for $125

On your honeymoon tour European flea markets. In Amsterdam, I was so stunned by it all, I just bought 1 silver " man's key chain" that was actually a woman's "Chatelaine." (Sp?) There was a little silver man attached to it which opens to be a tiny sewing kit!

I love seeing you and Roger together and am so thrilled you have found the one your soul loves! I love his addition to the channel. I just binged on ones I missed, my dad is in the hospital was rushed in ambulance from doctors a week ago. Heart issues, Sunday had blood sugar issues and now they are doing an MRI to see if he had a TIA. He hasn't been well for a while but this took a wild turn so suddenly. With dealing with RA myself, I increased my handling time and right now loving on family, praying my dad can make a recovery and dealing my the RA not reacting well to the stress. I watch you on the TV usually from my bedroom so I don't often get to comment. I can't believe out of that great video and all that is going on in peoples lives they have the need to be so nasty. As resellers, if we don't buy low and sell high, we don't make money! Ignore the comments and know that you did exactly what any good business woman would do. Years ago when I used to have yard sales, I fully expected to take less than the prices marked. Keep up the good work and tell Roger we love seeing him on with you!
