Manistee NF December '19 - New (to me) truck - solo trip - winter camping

- This the first trip in my 2012 Toyota Tundra Rock Warrior. Winter camping in Huron-Manistee National Forest. I love the truck almost as much as getting out and exploring. The views on this trip are some of the best I've experienced.

Nice work. Where exactly was that first campsite located? Did you just come across it or did you already know it was there.
Thanks! I do a lot of research before any trip. Google maps, GAIA, National Forest maps, and Vehicle Use Maps from the U.S. Department of Agriculture are some of my most common resources. I saw that spot on another UA-cam video and the only thing I'll tell you is, it's next to Tippy Dam Pond. It's a very highly used spot for obvious reasons. The only way I could get it all to myself is because of the time of year. In the summer it's almost impossible to get, and even if you do, there will be other people camping nearby.
