From Wikipedia:
The Sidney Lanier Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge that spans the Brunswick River in Brunswick, Georgia, carrying four lanes of U.S. Route 17. The current bridge was built as a replacement to the original vertical-lift bridge, which was twice struck by ships. It is currently the longest-spanning bridge in Georgia and is 480 feet (150 m) tall. It was named for poet Sidney Lanier. Each year (usually in February), there is the "Bridge Run" sponsored by Southeast Georgia Health System when the south side of the bridge is closed to traffic and people register to run (or walk) the bridge.
The bridge hosts the WX4BWK amateur radio repeater on the top of one of its pillars.
Been across this bridge once, coming from being on the casino boat that docks on the river in Brunswick...

U got balls of steel, you won't catch me on that mfr lol
I cant tell you how many times I have crossed that bridge in bad weather.
@@Shepherd823 my first time crossing it was at night, I was a route driver then. Crossed it at 3am every night. One day I had to cross that motherfucker at 9am and I bout died. I had no idea that bridge was that fuckin high. I would always go out of route after that and take the long way around lol
@@Shepherd823 it should be illegal for semi trucks to go across that fucker it's too damn high and the wind always wants to push the truck towards the edge. It's only a matter of time
@@nolimitsnuttbusts4u I guess the fact that I live here and cross it regularly it doesn't seem that intense to me. But I'm sure to someone who is unfamiliar it is scary. It is very high though. Its something else
