I loved that chef when I went to the CIA. I had him twice and I’ve got to say he was one of the best chefs when I attended. Love that you get to learn a little bit from a school I went to and love. #cia #HealthyJunkFood

This reminds me of my time in culinary school. So freaking nervous to touch anything and looking like a dork who can not cook even though I have been doing so since I was 10. Nice to see that they were trying to do what the chef showed them. Can only improve the channel in the long term. Also glad to hear JP say home cook as there is no such thing as a home chef (despite what the internet and food network makes makes people think).

CIA is the best culinary school in the country followed by Johnson and Wales. You guys have such an amazing opportunity! My only critique is i kinda wish J&J took it more serious! This would make a great series like they take you through each skills class from start to finish. Keep up the great work!
As a CIA student who had Chef Kahlenberg this video is wonderful to see, cant wait for banquets for Chef Reilly lol. A la carte with Chef McCue? I hope so!

I had a tour a few years ago. ..place is huge... Sangria was good.
I LOVE CHEF Kahlenberg he is so funny on you get to know him and also CHEF Mccue who are two very nice chefs to learn from.
Im pour and no gourmet chef but ive been using the juices to make a gravy since the first time maybe second time roasting a chicken . ty youtubw

So, kind of surprised they didn’t use clarified butter for the roux that makes the gravy. But different culinary schools, teach it different ways. I hope they pop into some pastry classes as well, not just culinary. Also, maybe see about visiting they other culinary schools in America, because I think it would be really interesting to see how different schools teach different methods. I go to a cooking school, and they only teach the French way of cooking.

Oh how i miss apple pie the baking hallway is always fire. Also kalenburg does what is called a trash party where if you put the wrong thing in the wrong trashcan and he finds it he dumps the whole trash can makes you stop what youre doing and sort out the trash into the right cans.
I went to a school like that in Amsterdam, called St.Hubertus. Not on that level but same concept. The students cook and also serve it in the restaurant, people payed to eat there. Also we had a bakery wich products are sold in a shop.
Are there any people from The Netherlands been there or heard of it?

I actully almost applied to CIA cause i LOVE cooking and want to be a chef but i knew i woulden’t get in so i never did apply, i also did culinary school for 2 year in high school! now i am 22 years old with an almost 2 mouth old baby girl. But mabye someday i will apply when i’m ready to go back to school
