Yes, I love a new year too. I'm also always excited for back to school even though the last time I went to school was 2008 🤣. I think it's just the paper and pens that make me swoon. And January it's writing all the plans and setting up the trackers
Happy New Year 🎉! As a fellow mood reader I get having books you want to read but haven't yet. I have books in my physical stack that I keep getting excited about when people talk about them but then not reading them. My plan is to try and read at least 50% of my physical books. So I put a priorty of 6 physical books for January just to get the ball rolling. I am really excited to start my reading goals for 2025.

Happy New Year! I haven't put together a concrete list of books to read in January as I'm such a mood reader but my main goal will be tackling some of my owned books each month and tackling backlist arcs while also trying to be better about upcoming arcs. Here's hoping 2025 will be better than 2024.
I have a busy year ahead (cross-country move and a lot of "stuff" to sort through) so I'm going to be even more type-B than usual when it comes to goals. My "read more than you buy" succeeded until August this year, after two or three years of lasting until mid-February, so I think that's doable.
Oo a cross country move is a lot but it’ll feel great to sort through a lot of stuff. I think you can totally nail a full year of read more than you buy if you managed til August this year. 💖💖💖
Haha I just finished putting the Hardest Reading Challenge tab in my reading tracking spreadsheet, and I’m about halfway done which is honestly better than I expected. I do have to know if you’re trying for the “Top Ten Bestseller from your birth year”, cause I have DNF’d almost every option in my year 😅. Happy New year❤🎉 📚
I am trying for birth year and going with non fiction shorty for it. Literally a brief history of space and time ok audio is under 8 hours 😅 I have stayed super on track for the monthly items so really if January I can knock out colors, and a few more I’ll be doing great 💖💖💖
I'm still pulling together my TBR (which has 500 books from various lists 0-0) Quite a few are things I plopped on my KU TBR which I'll read a chapter and decide if I want to read it or not when it comes around. The upside for me is I am divesting myself of physical books beyond my D&D books so I am keeping some books such as my Anne McCaffrey books and several boxes of paperbacks that are not available digitally. One of my favorite completed manwha is villainess in love on Tapas. I will say that sometimes when my mood is unsettled I really prefer to reread something (Hidden Legacy, Innkeeper, Tamora Pierce etc) vs. tackle something new. My birthday is the first week of Jan so, new year's is less important to me than that :) But I am working on goals and one of them is the 2 hiatus and 2 completed webtoons per month and probably put some of the ongoing ones more on a back burner as I think the week to week thing burns me out.

@@HappyforNow so, I still have 300+ books listed on Pango (and sold 167) 0-0; Over the years I have donated a couple hundred books to my local library. The downside of being primarily digital is you cannot resell/donate/give the book away any more; upside... it doesn't take up space in my house :) I have 6-8 boxes of books I am keeping and the 200 some D&D books which I still may divest myself of at some point but I spent 30 years collecting them. But the Pern books will be mine until I am dead.
