One chair down, seven to go!! Your video is super helpful. It was going to cost $250/chair to get them rewoven, but I bought supplies locally for them (at Frank's Cane and Rush Supply in Huntington Beach, CA) for $140.
LOVE THE VIDEO! I follow you on Instagram and didn’t realize you are on here too. I’m about to weave an old vintage teak chair, so needed a confidence boost from A few videos. Enjoyed yours ! Thank you
How do you prevent the cord cutting at the front rail over time. I did six chairs about five years ago and they have all split from wear at the front rail. Should I pad the fron rail in some way?
Hi nice video! I’m just finishing a copy of a Werner ch23, trying to figure out spacing/layout for the nails. I see that the nails on the front and back rails are wider. Any specific measurements for front/back and sides? Thanks
Just watched your video. Very nice work and a very clear guide. I have a very old nursing rocker with a corded seat, which is tearing and I would love to replace the cording. However, the cord underneath is tied and not attached to a nailing strip. Any suggestions?
I am ready to start but I am not sure how to wrap the front/back. Do you do each side with 2 different pieces of cord for left and right (2x 50ft)? Or is it only one single 50ft piece for the front and one single 40ft piece for the back?
@Minerva Enterprises... if a client wanted to, can the rope be replaced with a fabric or leather option? OR if the chair had a leather or fabric cover, could they be exchange for cord? The Moeller chairs looks like its versatile like that. lol

Is the front rail wider than the back, is that why your fill is 5 wraps on the front rail, and four on the back??
Great tutorial (except for the terrible guitar distraction). Thanks for sharing.

I usually soften the edge with sand paper, that's really the only thing you can do
Nice one! Man that's tedious work, but it came out looking so good!
Thanks, I really enjoyed weaving, I've done a set of 4 so far.
Any recommendations for removing paint stains from paper cord chairs?

i usually just take a measurement of the width, put the first nails about 3/8 in from the edge then evenly divide the rest to get a total of 17 nails
Amazing, thank you!
Thanks! Did you use danish paper chord or just normal hemp chord?
Looks great. Good job.
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks !
That looks awesome. Where do you get the Danish cord?
You can get it at cane and basket or Frank's cane and rush both have online shops

it's a different weave, most likely the envelope weave, there are some other guides out there
@@MinervaEnterprises I have watched the envelope weave videos, but this one looks more like yours. Thanks for responding.

One separate piece for the front and back, I fold it in half and start at the center nail

Yes, I've taken moller chairs that had fabric and added nails to cord them. Vice versa works as well

How many yards of Danish cord did you used on that chair?
2 pound spool will do a seat
