Győr, Hungary | Quick walk through the city, visiting the Benedictine church and the Basilica

In this video I'm gonna show you a city called Győr, located in the northwest Hungary.
I have been to this city before and I've made a video about it, the video is also on this channel but that video was more focused on walking through the city while in this video, the focus is on two sacral places, the Benedictine church and the Győr Basilica.

Although the cathedral was damaged, it was not rebuilt from scratch.
Baroque decoration was placed on the ascending medieval walls - the walls were so high that they can still be seen under the attic above the baroque frescoes. The most valuable part of the church was completely left out of the video - the beautiful Gothic Dóczy chapel was not even shown, even though the herm of the famous Hungarian king Saint László is kept there.
The Romanesque part of the cathedral is also preserved - the northern apse still stands today in its original place.
