Hi Christopher, the built-in balancing applies to the Flitecell Titanium batteries from series 2.2 onwards. In contrast to series 2, the batteries have a titanium casing. The lettering "Flitecell Ti" is embossed into the metal on the top.
For battery models that don’t have built in balancing, I see that you unplug the charger and put the magnet on to allow balancing, but do you need to keep the charger terminals connected to the battery for balancing?
Hi Christopher, it is purely for safety reasons. When the charger plugs are connected, there is no chance of accidentally causing a short circuit on the battery terminals. This procedure is described in the Flite manual. You can download the Series 2 manual at www.fliteboard.com. Choose in the menu "support" and search for "Series 2 manual".
Yes that is correct. I gave this clue at minute 2:01. The Titanium Flitecell from series 2.2 has self-balancing technology. But for the batteries of the older series, Flite recommends balancing between use.
How do I know if I have the new battery with built in balancing?

Great video footage...Simple and well informative...😎👌
Thank you for your comment. We thought that the Flite User Manual was unfortunately a bit sketchy on this point.
