- This song was first published in Dowland’s First Booke of Songs or Ayres in 1597.
I made this arrangement for a Japan tour where this piece started the concert and Brittens Nocturnal(reflections on Come Heavy Sleep)ended the programme.

The first time I heard this beautiful piece was Britten's Nocturnal, which Mr. Yamashita played at a guitar competition in Paris in 1977.
Wonderful 🎵

Thanks 🙏
A stunning piece - will forever be associated with Julian Bream's late performance in the Snape Maltings? in my mind
That must have been amazing
💯🤩🌅🌟
Thanks Annette 🙏🙏🙏
Nydelig er det från Nocturnal eller arrangert selv?
Tack 🎶 Det är mitt eget arrangemang
Just curious if the "negative frets" on your bass strings actually be pressed on and make notes?
Anyway, nice Dowland piece. First time to hear it
It's true, I guess the frets are there to be used but I've never seen anyone reach up to them.
I'm sure he did a video not too long ago where I'm sure he does use one of these frets... it was a more modern piece...
Thanks 🎶 I do press one or two of them but not very often. I think it’s very much about the design of the instrument.
ブリテンのノクターナルにも插入されましたね。
深い眠り💤を誘います。日本は現在、深夜ですよ。
マエストロおやすみなさい。👍🙏😴
Thank you 🙏
