That is so sad for Jannik. But he wants to be cautious for RG, and that's smart.
Hope both Sinner and Alcaraz get over their injuries quickly!
On the other side for others, huge opportunity lost for Zverev and Ruud, but great for the ones who still in a draw

One side, i'm glad that djokovic is gonna record his 428th week of no. 1. But, i'm sad too cuz i expected him to get beaten by other players not injury cuz it's a painful experience for every players. Moreover, djokovic is gonna lose bunches of points starting from RG until ATP finals 2024 so sinner has an opportunity to steal his spot after Roland Garros 2024

This clay court season is the opportunity of a lifetime for players like Medvedev, Runn, Rublev, and Rune. With the top 3 players and Nadal on very shaky ground going into the French it's anyone's event to win. We haven't seen this in a long long time. Plus the number one ranking is on the line. Should be entertaining.

Sinner was obviously struggling with his injury, he should be kinder to his body and think of the future. I hope the players look after themselves better and the ATP is kind to them with schedules that allow for rest and recovery. In the end this will be best for the players, their teams and the fans 😅

The story of Madrid and the clay court season is all the injuries. It illustrates how physical the ATP tour is and it reminds me of the greatest season we’ve ever seen in ATP history in 2015 authored by the GOAT himself Novak Djokovic
Novak started the season in Doha and got beat in the quarter finals by Dr Ivo
He then began a run we will never again see in our lifetime.
His next tournament was winning the AO before going onto Dubai where he lost in the final to Federer in Dubai
That was followed by winning the sunshine double sweep before heading into the clay court season where he wins Monte Carlo and Rome
In case you’re counting, Djokovic enters the French Open with a record of 35-2 and 5 titles! And oh by the way, he’s made 6 finals in a row
Novak made the finals at the French but Stan Wawrinks pulls off one of the most unlikely upsets in Grand Slam history by beating Novak in that final
Nevertheless, he leaves Paris with a staggering record of 41-2 for the season
Next tournament was Wimbledon where he beat Federer for the title and then it was on to the hard court season in Montreal and Cincinnati. He didn’t win either but again, made it to the finals in each! Yes, 10 finals in a row
Next tournament? USO and a great victory over Federer again
Then we move on to the Asian swing:
Beijing where he beats Rafa for the title quickly followed by his 5th M1000 title for the year in Shanghai!
    That’s 13 finals in a row and 9 titles
    But Novak wasn’t done
His very next tournament was Paris where he won his sixth M1000 in a season for an all time record
Novak then entered the Year end finals where again, he made it to his 15th final in a row that year and beat Federer for his 11th title of the year
Novak ended the year with an 82-6 record and made the finals of all 4 grand slams and all 8 M1000 tournaments he entered winning a record 6 of them and oh, by the way, he was 4-0 against Rafa that year with 2 of those on clay. He was also 5-3 against Fed with huge wins at the USO and Wimbledon and the ATP finals
    16 tournaments. 15 finals IN A ROW
He amassed 16585 points - an all time record and had a jaw dropping 31 top 10 wins
To put that in perspective; Novak has had five seasons in which he has had 20 or more top 10 wins. Federer has zero

This is the result when ATP gives a very congested schedule! Sinner is being injured while Alcaraz is injured too so he lost to underrated Rublev. Anyway, what did i learn in Madrid masters 2024? Djokovic is gonna have additional 5 weeks of no. 1 until the truly inevitable Roland Garros 2024 cuz the result after Rome masters 2024 is:
    1) Novak Djokovic: 9,990 - 180 = 9,810 points
    2) Jannik Sinner: 8,860 - 90 + 1,000 = 9,770 points
Well, it was a great journey for Novak Djokovic cuz i didn't expect that he can stand until this so far with his commitment even though i'm actually disappointed with him who didn't do well In Indian Wells 2024 and skipped Dubai 500 and a couple of ATP masters so that he could've gained more points to cover Roland Garros points when he may probably not do well that in order to stay in no. 1. Borrowing from Steffi Graf, she said "I've nothing left to prove in my life. My motivation isn't like what i used to be". After that, I'd let Sinner be no. 1 cuz it's gonna Djokovic's turn to defend bunches of points starting from Roland Garros until ATP Finals 2024
Djokovic stays in no. 1 until this so far cuz it was all thanks to:
    - Jannik Sinner who saved Djokovic's position in ATP finals 2023. If Sinner had lost to Rune, then Djokovic would've lost 900 points, so Alcaraz would've overtaken his spot after Australia Open 2024 cuz the range of points between both of them was 600 points.
    - Alexander Zverev who beat Alcaraz in QF Australia Open 2024 cuz even though Djokovic couldn't defend that, he was assured to stay in no. 1 starting from 410th week until now.
    - Carlos Alcaraz for beating Jannik Sinner in Indian Wells 2024
    - Grigor Dimitrov (twice), Roman Safiullin, Nicholas Jarry and others whom i forgot to mention for beating Alcaraz
    - Stefanos Tsitsipas: He beat Sinner in Monte Carlo Masters 2024 and secured Djokovic's 425 weeks of no. 1 even though i was mad with him cuz of withdrawing in ATP finals 2023 so he gave 2-0 for Rune so easily while Djokovic had to work so hard there

Jannik is getting some bad advice from his own camp being pushed to play while hurt.
He should never have played in Madrid he hasn’t been 100% for a while.
I’ve read that even his last match he complained to his coach but he was encouraged to play through the pain.
If they’re not careful they’ll ruin this guy.
Best of luck and get better soon.

      1) Novak Djokovic: 9,990 - 180 = 9,810 points
      2) Jannik Sinner: 8,860 - 90 + 1,000 = 9,770 points
Aaaahhh thank you for remembering me that cuz i forgot that Sinner has 90 points to defend in Rome masters 2024. Anyway, if Djokovic'd played well in Indian Wells and hadn't skipped a couple of ATP masters, then he would've gained more points to cover his champion of Roland Garros 2024 if he doesn't give the maximum result. Maybe he thinks he's been the future so he borrows Steffi Graf's note that she has nothing left to prove so her motivation isn't like what she used to be in the past.
