nice tutorial! i used 3mm cord (came out way smaller, which is okay) but i find myself wondering how long the cords for the bottom have to be (so i can maybe make the bag a little taller)
Hi, if you keep the measurement as it is, I think you can do a few more rows of flowers since you are using thinner cords😄

Flora I am having trouble closing the bottom of the tote. I am not sure what I am doing wrong 😢 you have that piece of glass container inside the tote what shape was it? I tried using a rectangular box just to hold on to it while I’m closing it down but I can’t seem to do it right. Can you please help me?

Love the design! Is it possible to make it with longer handles? Just so you can carry the bag over your shoulder
Yes you can! You will need double or triple the length of cords for the top part to make the handles longer. Do more square knots for the handles part and keep everything else the same way😄

In this video, you can learn how to add colour in the middle. This way, you will have to make some changes to the pattern.
Or you can simply stick yellow beads inside the flowers :)

If you do the rim on the round, I think you could overlap the cords and do side square knots over them (rather than need to sew in and join sides). Or if you start with a little space where the pins start, you could loop the ends in and double back before doing the last 3 squares.
