Mian Yousuf Salahuddin, aka Yousaf Salli, is a Pakistani socialite, philanthropist, ex-Politician, & well-known cultural icon from Lahore. He is grandson of the renowned poet & scholar Allam Iqbal. Through Virsa Heritage Revived, he is promoting local heritage of Pakistan. This video is taken from a live show that was was held at "Barood Khana", a traditional 17th century Mughal-style Haveli of Mian Yousuf Salahuddin in the Walled City of Lahore.

This song has a special place in my heart. I was born and brought up in a Catholic family in Texas and my boyfriend was born and brought up in a strict Muslim family back in Pakistan. He moved to the states for college. We met in class and instantly fell for each other. The difference in our races created many obstacles for us.
