You probably had your doubts when they traded you to Toronto but the reality is that you have played your best basketball, got along with your teammates, get along with the coaching staff, the Raptors fans ADORE YOU and you are now going to the NBA FINALS... Please do not make the mistake to go somewhere else when you and your Raptors team have found a WINNING COMBINATION and now have a chance to win an NBA CHAMPIONSHIP. When you are winning or have a winning combination, you do not change anything because this means that all the pieces of the team are working to perfection. Take a look what is happening with the Warriors... Do not listen to so many commentators and others who may want for you to play somewhere else because of their opinion, interest or fantasy to see you playing with other players. Listen to your heart and decide for yourself but take in consideration that sometimes what we want personally is not necessarily what is the best for us. I'm a Hall of Fame ex-basketball player from Puerto Rico who played for the same team for 13 years and never regret my decision as I won 2 Championship and went to the semi finals in numerous occasions. You are a TERRIFIC PLAYER and you have great talented players also playing next to you. Be grateful and pay honors to the people or organizations who have been good to you and that will support you no matter what. It is usually the best place to be on. Idc what anyone says, The Spurs doctors and higher ups did Kawhi dirty. How you expect someone who got severely injured to be clear to play, but still in 50-70%. They didn’t give that man time to heal at all. I get that they didn’t want to get beaten down hard, but to rush him onto the court because the doctors cleared him but no one asked Kawhi if he can play efficiently was disrespectful. They didn’t care about Kawhi well being, they cared not to get swept or beaten down hard asf. They should have planned for times like this by making LA the second option but they didn’t prep him and it showed.

So fun going back and looking at these videos to see what they thought about the Kawhi trade. I really hope he re-signs with the Raptors. All these sports commentators really can’t imagine why anyone would want to play in Toronto. After watching the Raptors championship run, Canada’s love affair with the team and the camaraderie with his team mates it’s easy to see him choosing to come back.

This is what irks me about Broussard he’ll say if the Lakers don’t trade for him next season they’ll get him anyway in free agency. Uhhhh not 100% because there is another team in LA with a guy named Jerry West who is very influential and Kawhi wouldn’t mind playing there and can steal him from the Lakers. The Spurs were asking for a deal that was ridiculous for the Lakers. Then the Spurs found the Lakers' offers were "underwhelming". Now Kawhi is in Toronto. I think everything worked well for the Lakers so far. I believe the Lakers will offer something for Kawhi, but there is no guarantee that they will outbid the Clippers without hurting themselves in the process. I think the best chance to get Kawhi is to entice Kawhi in free agency because Kawhi will be the decision maker.
Kemane Hagerman id say trade for him now cause who knows Toronto might not ask that much for him. And if it goes to Free Agency that’s really risky. The way I see it Lakers got a 40% chance of getting him. Then the Clippers got a 40% chance and Toronto got 20%. It was reported yesterday( by Woj) that he is warming up to Toronto. That’s a red flag but not a serious one. But if he does leave Toronto for one of the LA teams, Kahwi is a low key guy. Joining the Lakers where all the drama and attention ( Lebron and Lavar, plus the fact they’re the Lakers) could be a deterrent. The Clippers have all the perks of being in LA but without all the drama and attention. And Jerry West is a very influential guy, the same guy that snagged KD to the Warriors. So if I’m the Lakers I put together a decent package, nothing crazy and try and get Kawhi.
We are on the same page. The Lakers will likely do that, but the Raptors might be all in on this season and keep Kawhi as a rental to compete for a championship.
