@@rusttooresurrection813 🤣🤣 I think I actually saw the front of the Jeep raise up a half inch when you pulled it out. Personally, I would've used the cherry picker to save your back!
Well sir I missed the question as to using sealer or not. I would. Discriminately, yes. It doesn’t take nearly what I see typically used however. It’s more of a gasket dressing.
Got lots of responses to that question Brian...some were pretty passionate. Ill text you sometimes and tell you a little secret about that install that I didnt film.
I had several 134 l heads. I would have blown back into the gas tank to make sure there's no obstruction first thing. you're only looking at a 10-minute job 2 change a pump.
Well...thank you Bill. So including filming it took me about a half hour. Not bad I guess for the first time. I know the pitfalls now so the next one should be faster...do you agree?
Always enjoy your videos Bill. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Pete...really appreciate that.
I thought for sure, that when that rear pump bolt came out, that the crankshaft would fall out. 😂 Overkill is an understatement!
Yep Jason....I think that bolt held in the whole motor.

@rusttooresurrection813 on a real note, it's great to see progress! Looking forward to the next step.
@@IndirectConnection1 Thanks Jason!

Think you need a longer bolt with more washers. 😂
Well...I mean...it did work...right?
Did look very tight in there . I don't know how they put v8 s in there .
I know what you mean Earl. I had to take the red horn out to finish the project it was so tight in there.
Did you have to rotate the engine to take some of the pressure off the pump arm?
No. It fit right in. The pump lobe is pretty tiny but it may have already been in a good alignment.
