I'm epileptic but not photosensitive (fortunately). I had an occasion when someone knew I was epileptic and put a flashing light in my face. They then thought I was faking epilepsy when I didn't convulse. These are the people that need to be beaten till their mamma doesn't recognize them. Seizures are a living hell that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
I understand you in perfection I have epilepsy two types of epilepsy and unfortunately they are photosensitive and I think just like you this condition I don’t wish it not even to my worst enemy it’s not easy to live with this God bless you always
"Beaten 'till their mama doesn't recognize them." Damn gonna remember this one for sure ☠️☠️☠️ Also, completely agreed. People really get too light punishments for things these days, as a direct result of being too soft.
Im scared for reals im 17 i had never experienced this but one time i was watching childs play and therea a scene where lots of lightning flashes come out so when i saw them i feel kind of nauseous and uncomfortable im still aware of what was happening i didn’t lost consciousness idk if that is a seizure im scared i dont want to live the rest of my life like this , i don’t know itf its my head playing me tricks, if i have photosensitive epilepsy i would want to know what caused it to develop it because i haven’t had a trauma
Not a seizure. You would lose control of your body response as with uncontrollable tremors aka shaking, usually resulting in falling down when this happens. Not talking about nervous shaking or fear either. The movie could be just too scary for you and the lightning rattled you like a jump scare. Or could of just been fatigue or sound effects creating a nervous response. Some frequencies of sound can make you nervous dizzy scared etc. If you are fine playing video games or party lights you are likely not photosensitive. If it was a 1 time experience, its hardly something to worry about. Maybe you have a fear of lightning which is not uncommon but not a big deal. It could also of been a slight panic attack, which for me feels like i couldn't breath, shaking, fast heartbeat, dizziness etc. It sucks but there are ways to reduce and stop that. You can live normally no matter what the problem.
@@solosamuraiz1526 before that i was also playing a video game and it contained flashing lights and idk but when i saw them for 12 seconds i got nauseous and felt like tired then i turned it off and the nausea stayed for 30 minutes, Also it’s weird cause sometimes i see flashing lights and i don’t feel nothing but then sometimes i do get nausea like its so weird I don’t take any medicine i dont know if i should see a doctor
I used to have photosensitive epilepsy but I grew out of it. My childhood doc told me one thing I’ll always remember. If you feel a photosensitive seizure coming on, cover an eye with a hand ASAP. For some odd reason you cannot have a seizure. Some of you will be skeptical but I can’t tell you how much this helped me as a child. Try it.
I'm just like you, I also suffered from photosensitive epilepsy during my teens. But I also grew out of it, I haven't had a seizure for over 30 years. But I kid you not there were a few occasions where it was quite painful and it's not something I'd ever want to experience again. The odd thing was Strobe lights had no effect, but video games which constantly flickers did.
i wanna describe the situation of what’s happening to me, I have never really had a seizure, but just recently when I go to various nightclubs and when im starting to see strobelights or something flickery on my phone - dont know why but it bothers me and becoming more anxious than before just by looking at them for a bit, felt like im about to have a seizure but didnt. could that be a sign of PSE? or am i just tripping? :D
Then don't play OR reduce risk by playin in small increments like hour a day or whatever you find if your limit. Also certain times of day and fatigue are triggers so playing in a bright room on a big screen, not a phone or monitor, and when not tired or typical seizure time of day might help
my friend suffers from epilepsy , he takes medication and we go every week saturday partying , he had 3 episodes in 3 years . yesterday he forgot to take his pill and we went partying there were all this lights and nothing happened , we went to take some breakfast and everyone went home . He had an seizure after getting home . I wanted to know that photosensitive epilepsy gives the seizure right away when you are exposed to lights or even after party when your home
from my experiences as i’m pretty sure i have this condition u can delay the seizure for some time with coping mechanism such as wearing sunglasses or bandanna around eyes. but then you will seize eventually. sometimes it feels like u cant prevent a seizure just delay one from my experience
im albanian and i didnt know what photosensetiv epilepsy is, so once i was seeing a video that had they same warning as i said and then it caused me a seizure, my mom thinking that i was rolling around the floor but after 10 min it got away
Three things give me epilepsy 1 is in game lightning flashes that are usually a bright white blue across my screen, the second are the new tail lights on some cars, the third are stop lights,
I've been tonic-clonic since I was 8 and I can relate to this even though I have never met anyone who has PSE. Around this time back in the latter part of 2021, I copyrighted a movie script which features a lead character who is tonic-clonic and has a boyfriend who is photosensitive. Should any studio take this film as a potential project, I am going to insist that to create the authentic feel of being epileptic, get a pair of newcomers who really are epileptic instead of established stars. No, this is a thriller screenplay.
I've never been diagnosed with photosensitive its more led lights super bight lights make fall in floor sometimes turns into sezures latter but still alert for most part so I can hardly go anywhere ive tried shades but none seem to Really work

might be sensory overload, not a seizure

Black light is blue light and unnatural.
Also, excessive and many levels of brightness are unnatural and unhealthy causing distress.
