No matter what way you look at it, Monique was weird for this. She turned on Candiace to try and be cool with Ashley and Gizelle, even though according to her she knew Gizelle was trying to spread rumors about her marriage, then befriended her the next season only for Gizelle to ice her out that same season. After watching this clip, it’s safe to say that other people in the group ruined Candiace and Monique’s friendship, but I also think they allowed others to get between them and ruin it.

I get so mad when I watch these clips. This was the beginning of Gizelle and Robyn’s plan to get Monique off of the show through Candiace. If both ladies would have just taken a step back and paid attention they would’ve saw the plan clearly unfolding. A small part of me wish they would patch up the friendship quietly while Candiace is taking a break from the show.
But if I'm not mistaken the original plan for season 5 was to ice out candiace, until the plan backfired when Monique chose violence.
