    9:48 Corbyn asks May a question about budget cuts. May, instead of answering the question, asks a question of her own.. WHAT THE HELL IS??? ANSWER THE DAMN QUESTION ABOUT THE DAMN CUTS!!!!

      Well, considering that Labour was only in government since mid-1997, and the Tories had a large majority, and you said 'over 20 years' the Tories were in power. So why blame Labour?

      It was tested and the experts told the conservatives that it was dangerous and they should use the more expensive and less flammable cladding instead. They stopped listening as soon as they said "more expensive" i assume.

    People flinging about the terms of marxism, communism and socialism without truly knowing what they mean so that they become removed of any clear content. The core principles of socialism are that working communities are in control of thier own lives and destiny. Extension of democracy in peoples workplace and communities. People have been eating the propoganda they have been fed on the Soviet idea of socialism etc. This is not traditional socialism in the slightest. A fairer society and an end to supporting terrorism is needed. I really hope Corbyn keeps builting the momentum at the incredible rate he has been so far and takes power sooner rather than later.

      Harv Meist Was Jeremy Corbyn in power 2005? Thats her argument. Your argument makes no sense. She's been in power as home secretary since 2010. She failed to reach any one of her targets on immigration. She failed to do it now. She's even lost her mandate for hard brexit, and suddenly found a magic money tree worth £1BN to pay off the DUP to keep her in power.

    I wish Corbyn had won. We need a National Education Service in the UK. As an English student going to Uni in Sept. I am going to be laden with £60,000 of debt! Education, Health, Energy & Infrastructure should be nationalised industries!!!

    • @Photon_Collector
      @Photon_Collector 7 років тому +35

      Why should other people pay for your choices?

    • @Photon_Collector
      @Photon_Collector 7 років тому +25

      An investment? You are the one getting the benefit, not me. You want a high paying job that requires a degree then you pay for the degree. Your model of everyone getting free higher education is not sustainable, not everyone can be a high earner with a graduate career. So really all your policy is doing is taking money away from poor, working people and giving it to middle class people.
      Also, free education is not a right. It's privilege. Who are you to tell me I have to pay for all the things you want for free? A "right" that requires someone else's labour to provide is no right at all.

    • @5ofa
      @5ofa 7 років тому +9

      Nimble Pumpkin I think the government should pay for the right choices. I'm a engineering student finishing my masters in September. Before I have even left the door I have had 5000 in interested added onto my loan. Please tell me how this is fair ? And why should I even stay here and contribute due to competitive salaries being as little as 20-25 k per year with slow progression and not a guaranteed position. If they want to keep skilled workers like my self they best start treating us like it. If your doing an arts degree I mean really why are you at university ? That's where I agree with you.

    • @Michelle_Schu-blacka

      Khaled Al Assad That only works if the majority are taking useful degrees... in emerging sciences.

    • @Photon_Collector
      @Photon_Collector 7 років тому +20

      It's fair because you made the choice to go to uni, nobody else. You knew the terms of the agreement and you signed up to it of your own accord.
      You want other people to pay for your own choices, how is that fair? If I sign up for a mortgage that I can't afford to pay, would it be fair for me to demand your tax money pays it for me? Of course not, yet that's exactly what you are doing with your student debt.

    May said the cladding of tower blocks began under Tony Blair’s government. But this is not true. It actually began under Thatcher’s, in 1984 and Also, in 1986, Thatcher’s government changed building regulations surrounding materials used on the outside of buildings. And these alterations meant that anything used did not have to be non-combustible. This meant flammable materials could legally be used to clad tower blocks.

There's been a rise in Anti-semitism in the US and U.K. and I hope both govt's tackle it head on. Whatever you think about May, you have to give her credit on that one comment stating how it's both parties' faults about the tower and this was a failure of the state of either party over the years. Anyway, May seems much more competent than Trump, so there's that. I wish the U.K. the best of luck with Brexit and I hope all goes well. Now back to my country having a nervous breakdown over Trumpcare. It's fucked up.

    The LFB should have made sure cladding was safe and they should have ensured they had personnel physically able to rescue people from a high rise. The focus on recruiting female "firefighters" and the inevitable decline in able male recruits may have been a factor in the death toll. • @pigeonhead6287
    @pigeonhead6287 7 років тому

    JC is talking out of his arse...there seems no legitimate reason the cladding on Grenfell was not tested prior to the incident...More money for more female firefighters and equivalent fitness males would not have made a difference to the victims on the night. They may also be corruption in the procurement of inadequate equipment for an incident such as Grenfell, which must be examined. The LFB Commissioner (paid more than the PM) should probably be removed and training refocused to produce firefighters physically able to contend with a high rise fire.

    THe qustion is How long can she stay? - The British Pound is down and can never come back the British people are down and and a civil war is only a question of time in Britain and if even Britain can not protect own British Children then the whole British country is down and can never come back. No Hope and no Glory but only one desaster after another - no country in the world can survive this.

    Im an American. Just an average Jo. I love to learn about the Uk. Our fire departments come around once a year (i think just once) to business check that everything is in order. Fire extinguishers are up to date. Exits are properly marked exct. When buildings are built the fire inspectors are involved there as well. Is this not protocol in the Uk? I would have assumed it was.

    • @jackevans3427
      @jackevans3427 7 років тому

      Yeah which is partly the debate at the beginning. Teresa May believes that the tower block fire was an inevitability due to decades of departments not doing their jobs properly and it going unnoticed by governments of both parties where as Jeremy Corybn believes that the disaster could have been mitigated if it wasn't for public spending cuts by the conservatives

      I'm not sure how often it is but Prime minister's questions is when the prime minister (Teresa May) has to answer questions about policy on current issues by the leader of the opposition party (Jeremy Corybn) as well as by less important politicians (back benchers) who are normally a part of a political party but are supposed to only represent their constituents (the approximately 60,000 people who live in their constituency)

    unpopular opinion: I think we need to raise our taxes by an extra 5p-10p. 65 million people in this country, imagine the money the government could make from this to help put money where they keep talking about cuts. unfortunately the word "Taxes" is like a bad omen. people only see the worst of it but it will greatly improve our country if spent correctly

    Our Dutch PMQ's are bloody boring but at least you get proper questions and answers.
