Let's start with some details:
Plush hiking boot for moving quick and staying light on the trail
Recycled mesh and lightweight leather provide breathable durability
GORE-TEX membrane delivers reliable wet-weather protection
Gusseted tongue helps stop trail debris from wriggling in
6mm drop encourages a natural stride for increased comfort
Lightweight foam provides lasting shock absorption
Extended heel design provides a smoother ride
Sticky rugged sole gives biting traction on wet and dry ground
So, this is my first Hoka review and I have to say, I am very impressed. These Anacapa Hoka boots are very popular amongst outdoor enthusiasts. They have excellent comfort level, great outsole, good overall quality and really hard to go wrong with GTX waterproofing.
It is worth mentioning here that these Hoka Anacapa GTX boots made it to a few online lists like best hiking boots for men 2022, best hiking boots for women, best waterproof hiking boots and most comfortable hiking boots.

Dude I just picked these up at Ross for $49! Used them today on a hike and they were amazing.
What a steal, I'm a trucker who forgot to bring their work boots so I went to ross and saw these for 99. I'll test them out and see how they hold up in metal scrap yards 😂

I hear that one can actually go wrong with the GTX because some boots are not water proof even when GTX has been applied. In other words the presence of the renowned Gortex is not 100% of being waterproof
You are saying about the running shoes with gtx ,they do have problems with waterproof abilities
My Anacapa’s have leaked since day one. Very comfortable but disappointingly neither foot is waterproof.
Those things look solid for hiking
I am very unimpressed by the durability of these boots. Especially the sole. I would not waste too much money on something that will last short time.
Yea, I agree, with money should come the durability. What was your primary use for these and what terrains?

@Immortal__this outsole is somewhat infamous for not lasting long. I got the one one, same outsole, expect one year of moderate use.
Can I walk longer by snow in this boots in the winter ?
Mine are most definitely not waterproof.

Are they would be ok for winter and snow?
They would be great for sunny days in the winter. With GTX waterproofing you will OK in some light snow, but you probably want to look at some insulated boots for winter conditions.

Yes but all along the foot is tight
I own Kaha 2 low as a winter city shoes. Definitely like them just because the top is made completely of nubuck leather and it looks much better than Anacapa.
Now looking for midsize hiking boots and thinking about Danners 600 vs. Columbia Newton Ridge.

All the front is unprotected, very exposed to heavy weight falling objects or to kick something on the way

Man, they are absolutely hideous, with that outsole! Probably functions well though. I’d want that outsole to be a very dark color, to chill it out a bit 😵💫

lol daaaam bro why you gotta be like that! I do agree though, they do look a bit funky.
Their running shoes have the same super thick funny looking sole. Everyone said the same thing about their running shoes 5 years ago, and now they are the most popular running shoe on the market because LOOKS DON'T MATTER. Performance does.
