Usually you can catch a A teacher in the hall or a janitor as locked down goes on Or a student that got Stuck outside the class room because they went to the bathroom or something Those cases are rare though
I feel so bad for any person stuck in a lockdown. Where I live it's basically unheard of and I feel very privileged for that. My husband and I plan to move to America and I tell you something, our kids will in fact, be homeschooled. 😢
Don’t use the word “privilege”. That word is so misused You are no where near “privileged” just a different way of living. Don’t feel guilty or let anyone make you feel guilty by slapping that label on you.
My middle school recently had a gun threat. It was posted online. The classrooms were mostly empty of students because parents weren't willing to risk having their child be in danger. Police presence was heightened at the school, the kid was in 6th grade, and he had a knife and two guns in his bag. mid-day in 3rd period, a swat team dragged the kid out of the class and took him to juvie. We were all terrified hearing him screaming while being dragged out of the school, we thought he shot someone. Luckily nobody was hurt.
We had two school Lockdowns during my senior year (2002-2003). The first was caused by a breakout of the minimum security prison a few miles away. They put the school under lockdown just in case any of the escapees tried to hide in the School. The second time was just as bizarre. A student had accidentally dropped a flask of Liquid Mercury in the sciences wing and instead of fessing up and telling their Teacher left. Students then trekked through the halls getting the mercury all over the school. We were Locked Down and had to wait for the actual Environmental Protection Agency to arrive and set up foot washing stations to clean every students shoes. We were finally able to leave several hours later (basically we spent the equivalent of two full school days in that building. I had said that I would not be going to school the next day but thankfully I didn't have to, as the school was closed for a deep cleaning.
We truly live in a different world. I remember when Columbine happened. At the time, it was jut a freak occurrence. When I was in high school, we had a few days where we would get put into lockdown, but only because police had drug dogs sniffing our lockers. Some scary stuff for sure.
When I was in Saturday school, I’d just plug in my headphones and listen to nighttime spooks for 2 hrs. No joke. 😂 and every day on my last period id listen to him again.
During a lockdown I had to take a dump really bad, so the gym teacher put up yoga mats around the trash can so nobody could see me and I took a dump in it.
Kids who are still in school, never ever leave where you are while on lockdown unless you’re instructed to or where you are is extremely unsafe. First guy shouldn’t have left the bathroom at all. He was hidden and the intruder didn’t know he was in there, so he was pretty safe.
In story #4 how many chances can u give a man lingering around the school parking lot for days now that is obviously suspicious and to bring attention to staff immediately before a lockdown needed to commence later on
Story 1: I agree, he should have gone back to class Story 2: I don't know what to say Story 3: Glad he kept the door locked Story 4: Stalker Story 5: Scary
I would have thought staying at the bathroom would be best? Teachers lock the doors and are not supposed to open them for students. Sure they can, but you risk getting stranded out in the open.

I have one story. So me and my friend had to stay 1 hour after school, because we had boot camp. So after school ended, me and my friend played some games together before boot camp starts, and then a few minutes later, we went inside the classroom. So it was usually like every normal boot camp class we had, like we’re learning math and language. So we were just doing our things, until all of a sudden, the speaker suddenly beeps, and said we’re going in a lockdown. And when I heard those words, I went to hide at one of the corners in the classroom, but my teacher said to go back to your seats and read a book. But I was thinking like: “What’s going to happen?” And I kept staring at the classroom’s door’s window. Scared that someone might just appear there and shake the door. I kept staring at it for like 10 or 20 minutes, and after 10 or 20 minutes, the lockdown ended. And by the time the lockdown ended, it was already time to leave. I felt a big relief over me by the time we left the classroom. So I said goodbye to my friend, and left to the gate. And it turns out that there were a few guys breaking into people’s homes and stealing things. I think there was a accident at the road that was close to the school, so maybe they made us go into lockdown in order to keep us safe. That day still haunts me to this day!
I remember that when i was in 6th grade there was no middle school building because it was still being built. There was these trailers for the middle schoolers to take classes. When all of the sudden the assistant principal told us that we were on lockdown. The doors didn't have any windows on it. We heard knocking on the our door, luckily everyone was calm enough to stay silent, eventually, the knocking stopped and we heard sounds of someone stepping on grass, and then they started banging on the walls of the trailer right next to the one my class was in. And then the assistant principal called my teacher and said that the lockdown was now over. To this day i still remember that day when that happened.
*My Lockdown Story lmao* I'm in seventh grade rn, and this happened in 5th grade. It was extremely scary, but I heard nothing. The only the things I could think about was my brother, who was in 4th grade at the time in the classroom in front of us, and my mom, who was a yard duty for the little kids. A few kids were making plans on how to escape, and also ways to fight back. Then my teacher made us clean up everything that we were doing, and to pack up if we wanted to, since it was the end of the day and we were supposed to go home. For a good 30 minutes, we were just there in whispers and worried glances, then the principal over the announcements and said it was all clear. We went home that day later than we were supposed to ------------------Why Did We Go Into Lockdown?------------------- There's actually no confirmed reason on why we went into lockdown to this day. I cant believe the first guy didnt just stay in the bathroom. Like go into a stall, climb onto the toilet and hide. That's like common knowledge in the US. You never go into the hallway during a lockdown, c'mon dude
That first one is either fake or happened really early in the shooting epidemic because for well over a decade now I remember kids are taught to stay inside the bathroom and lock the stalls if that happens
@lumintherainwing Don't worry about @user- xd5fl9gt2v Every comment That says a name Or about what they're doing right now He says Nobody cares I don't know why though
this is the fist time in my life I hear the 'school lockdown' expression. I cant believe something like this really exists. So even the school is not a safe place for kids. I have never experienced nor heard of it in my entire life until now.
I remember way back in elementary we had a lock down, I'm thankful it wasn't a major one, but I remember most of it vividly. I was in forth grade, me and my class were in the middle of work when all of the sudden our Principal called on the announcement; "Lockdown. Lockdown. Lockdown." So, we all scrambled to move over to the bag cubby with the lights shut off. We sat there for maybe fifteen, twenty minutes I think before she eventually said the lockdown was over. Apparently two boys were in our field playing with nerf guns, and it was justified enough for us to go into lock down and for the principal to check it out. I'm lucky it wasn't anything major, however that memory still is stuck in my head to this day.
One time I was stuck in 2nd hour math for 5 hours due to a soft lockdown caused by a student who was going around with a weapon I believe. I can’t exactly remember.
If I had a phone and I was still in my classroom I would call the police Police:911 what i- me:I THERE IS A LOCKDOWN AT MY SCHOOL I NEED YOU TO GET OVER HERE WHS
I’m pretty sure everyone would do that and theirs a kid that did that for their actual ELEMENTARY school. This is why parents should let their children have phones. You never know what could happen at school.
Once I had a school drill, it wasn’t that scary because it was a kangaroo. We had no clue what to do so we just shut off all the lights and we head to go under the table. It was pretty fun but scary.
I remember when this one time in 6th grade we were doing an assignment online and we had to record a vid with a partner and send it to the teacher. It was history, and i hated this class so me and my partner were outside, down the hall, wasting time and purposefully kept messing up so incase the teacher came we had an excuse for why it wasnt done. We were waiting for class to have like 2 minutes left then we would start heading back. We heard the announcements come on and thought it was the "afternoon" announcements (as this was in 6th period). So we thought nothing of it until we heard "Lockdown, Lockdown." So we sprinted down the hallway and heard the teacher say this was unannounced. I ran to my desk and grabbed a pencil as my teacher grabbed her metel bat from the closet (Yes my history teacher does indeed have this.) She turned the lights off closed the door and the blinds, and stood by the door. 30 some minutes passed and we heard the announcements say smth like all clear or smth like that both me and my friend were walking to our lockers talking about and we heard everybody talking about it and because it was the 2nd to last week of school I never got to realize what actually happened some of the kids made up a theory lif you'd like to hear it. Here you go!! " Some kid had a pocket knife " Was the most common one..
For Story #1, you’re supposed to stay in the bathroom if your ever caught in a lockdown there. Had almost the exact same thing happen to me in 5th grade, except it was a drill. It was scary though because I only knew what to do if I was in a classroom during a lockdown, not in a bathroom. I just knew I couldn’t count on any teachers for help because they wouldn’t open the door for me. When I got back to class afterwards, a teacher in the class yelled at me for that, demanding to know where I was, but my saint of a teacher said “oh they’re allowed to be in the bathroom during a lockdown.” Also, how the hell was I supposed to know we were gonna have a lockdown?!
On the second story, no. I have never heard of a single school that ends lockdowns by just calling teachers. Most will have police and administrators clear rooms one by one, because that’s a guarantee to not be a ruse by the intruder.
Never go to school bathrooms because there are creeps lurking around in there and shooters waiting for their next victim to hit a dead end and be trapped
On the first story, no. In a lockdown you have no idea what kind of danger you’re in so it’s better to stay put or get to the nearest available safe place. The hallway is stupid, so walking away from the bathroom, much safer than the halls, is a better idea, especially given that every other door you’d try to get into would have been locked.

Never go to school bathrooms because there are creeps lurking around in there and shooters waiting for their next victim to hit a dead end and be trapped
This is scary watching in the middle of the night in a sketches area
❤❤❤
Hey night time spooks do you want to hear my school lockdown during one of my staff meetings
On the first story, no. In a lockdown you have no idea what kind of danger you’re in so it’s better to stay put or get to the nearest available safe place. The hallway is stupid, so walking away from the bathroom, much safer than the halls, is a better idea, especially given that every other door you’d try to get into would have been locked.
hasn't happened to me yet although I'm always prepared for anything to happen
NOBODY CARES

What?
How many lockdown had he had bro 😅😂
Damn. Story 3 has 5 kids in Saturday school. If it weren’t for the intruder you guys should’ve totally re-enacted the Breakfast Club.
Op, nvm I just listened to the rest of it. Bender decided to knock the teacher unconscious.
Make sure that you’re hiding in the most secure spot so the bad guys won’t get in or the armed kids or an armed robber
The second one stressed me out I rlly wanted them to knock that man out but fear is paralyzing and maybe it was a woman idk
