Mattel has oddly decided 2 play everything safe, which is just a huge shame bc they’ve historically been extremely driven 2 have an unceasing cultural presence. Neoliberalism itself proves innovation & effort eventually ends when monopolies recognise themselves as monopolies. I need Mattel 2 suffer 4 political reasons & artistic reasons.
(Y, yes, I would love a barbie movie dream house that I couldn’t afford & is kindof a reflection of my political antithesis. But I can’t help but love art. Is it 2 much 2 ask that some obscenely wealthy child can have a $1000 toy just so I can rest well knowing it exists? 🤷‍♂️)
