Hey Mike, you are so correct. I never had people bugging me to buy crap. Went to Dominican, and soon you come off the resort beach it's like a pack of wolves. This is why I will never return there. They were very rude and made me scared for my safety. Cuba, I never felt so welcome, and they are humble and amazing for people who have nothing. This is why I gladly bring stuff for staff because they don't come and ask but feel horrible for them With not being able to get food or anything without waiting for hours. Also, people don't realise they are very well educated and work very hard for just a little I 👏 that work ethic. Keep up the amazing work work my friend.

This beach is incredible!!! I have always been scared of the long bus ride but clearly worth every minute to walk that beautiful sand. Keep the videos coming.
The bus ride is actually not bad. I saw some dolphins swimming in the wild on my way back to the airport. On the way to my resort we stopped at a sugarcane factory as well which broke up the ride and was nice for a washroom break. some nice scenery and cervezas on the way

been on that beach and did all parts and just LOVED the nature preserve area to the east. That's what drew me to this resort in the first place, no resort to the east (and the one on the left was still being built at the time). Glad to see the beach is still just as beautiful!!! Will have to come back for sure! Thanks Mike!
Perla Blanca is great, I’ve been to other spots in Cuba but I’ve gone to Perla Blanca multiple times. Is it even worth trying a new spot next vacation? Or am I better off going to Perla Blanca again knowing the beach and lobby bar are so great?
Valentin Perla Blanca is the last hotel in the San María hunt and from this beach you can see the blind cays of Ávila or where the Cayo Coco hunt begins
Hi Mike, you walked from the Perla Blanca beach to the natural reserve beach with the low tide sand bar. What is that beach called with the huts.? Thanks.
Hi Mike. Been to Cuba over 30 times now. I love Cayo Santa Maria as well. you should check out playa cayo Santa Maria hotel (same stretch as sanctuary) as it’s a great hotel with good food, great entertainment and awesome pools, an amazing beach if not the best. I loved the beach at flamenco memories but was really disappointed with the hotel. Check out playa Pilar beach on Cayo coco as well as it’s stunning. Pullman in Cayo coco has a beautiful beach as well. It’s changed names and owner but Pullman was one of my fave hotels, stayed in their villa and suites and even the reg rooms are even nice, great a la carte restaurants and loved the collection side with its own “gourmet” restaurant and the pools but haven’t been back there in a few years and hearing bad things about it now. Back in the 90’s I went to a beach in Cayo largo that was fabulous, think it was called paraiso beach. It was a 10 min drive from our hotel at the pelicano and the airport was the nightclub if I remember correctly. Keep up the good work, love your informative videos.
On this beach you can walk 20 meters inside it and the water does not exceed knee depth. My wife and I had amazing times on this beach and in this hotel
From what I understood is that those small huts at the end of your walk were part of the nature reserve, and prior to the pandemic the Cuban's could pay to go there and enjoy the beach for the day. At least that's what I was told at Paradisus.
Hey Mike we also walked to Playa Las Gaviotas from Paradisus Los Cayos this past February, so your walk brought us back to that memory! How about that soft white sand almost like mud when the tide is low. Hiding out in those triangle huts for a break from the sun, what an experience! I recommend water shoes crossing those rocks you showed to the far left of Valentin beach zone from the Paradisus beach zone. We attempted walking from the far left of Paradisus beach zone which has even more rough rocks to visit Royalton resort we stayed at twice. Unfortunately, the terrain was not worth an injury even with the water shoes on. I will post a short video of our own clips and photos soon and maybe you can check ours out too! Like you say visit Cuba with Cuban expectations and not your own, it is 100% worth it.
It's the Valentine perla blanca. I loved his place, and the beach. And you are correct, the beach at the right, where there's nothing, no hotels, there's nude people. But respectful. It's weird because I saw 2 men there and I recognized them at the buffet the evening haha
