    @DIHORY The Romanian "Ardeal" name first appears in a document from 1432 as "Ardeliu". According to archeologists and scientists, it has nothing to do with the Romanian word "deal". Some similar examples: Hungarian: Erdőd, Romanian: Ardud; Hungarian: Egres, Romanian: Agrus; Hungarian: Egyed, Romanian: Adjud; Hungarian: Esküllő, Romanian: Aşchileu; Hungarian: Erdőfalva, Romanian: Ardeova etc.

    @DIHORY Let me enlighten you again. Vasile Lupu, ruler of Moldva in the 17th century wrote an official letter to the Turkish Port, stating that one-third of Transylvania's inhabitants are Romanians. He wanted to conquer Transylvania, but he changed his mind, likely because the above mentioned proportion was absolutely false. In the 18th century, many Romanians migrated to Transylvania, so their proportion then reached one-third, but majority was still Hungarian.

    @severussius @severussius It seems you were taught a - let's say - "special" perspective of history. Just imagine, Slovakians lived for 1000 years in Hungary without assimilation. However, more than half of Hungarians in Slovakia were deported or assimilated in less than 100 years.

    @DIHORY About the daco-roman theory: Dacia was under Roman rule for only 150 years. How could it have been fully "romanized" in such a short time? Romans left Dacia in 270 because of the Gothic attacks, and the province went under German rule. If Romanians were descendants of Romans, if Romanians had been in Transylvania for such a long time, their language should have absorbed much more German and Turkish influence instead of Slavic and Albanic.

    • @dani95barefield65
      @dani95barefield65 15 днів тому

      I think it is because language renovation. Hungarian took words mostly from german, and romanian took words from latin.
      But the main question is, is nationality ideologic or genetic?
      If it is genetic, I am shure everyone in central Europe has a little Dacian dna in them.
      If it is ideologic I do not support it because identifying with something for political gains is not good.
      I am quite shure Hungarians have pannonian dna too and so do romanians and slovaks.

    @DIHORY Again, you've scored an own-goal!
    The word "erdő" (and thus "Erdély") originates from the verb "ered". It can be translated as: to originate, to arise, to rise, to accrue, to derive, to spring from etc. With the letter "ő" at the end, it is a participle.
    And only one thought about your comment: your first sentece was "Stop eating shit!" Let me quote a classic phrase: "Le style, c'est l'homme."

    @DIHORY We are so few there because of the nazi-type politics of Romania - so simple.
    In Transylvania you can find only Hungarian runes and Latin-alphabet inscriptions, and nothing in Cyrillic (used by Romanians till 1860). If you are so educated, how do you explain it?
    Why town and city names have Hungarian origin?
    Why can't you find German influence in Romanian language if they were so many in Transylvania?
    Why are there still Hungarian-majority regions, after 90 years of oppression?

    • @busterbiloxi3833
      @busterbiloxi3833 4 роки тому +2

      What oppression? They have full language rights. Slovaks in pre-Trianon Slovakia had no rights.

    • @OkosPala
      @OkosPala 4 роки тому

      @@busterbiloxi3833 Slovaks could preserve their language and identity for 1,000 years as a minority in Upper Hungary.
      On the other hand, half of the Hungarian minority in Slovakia disappeared in less than 100 years, and there is no hope of stopping this process. Even ticket price sheets at train stations are not allowed in Hungarian!
      So, who's been oppressing ethnic minotities?

    • @OkosPala
      @OkosPala 4 роки тому

      @Flav C You are lying, and that can be easily proved. Anyone who looks historical ethnic proportions, will see that e.g. in the 15th century, Romanians made up less than 15% of the population, so did Germans. In the 18th century, based on an Austrian census (!), 47% was Hungarian, 34% was Romanian, 19% was German.
      Transylvania was a Hungarian area with various ethnic, religious and language minorities.

    • @OkosPala
      @OkosPala 4 роки тому

      @Flav C Some Hungarians were the bosses, i.e. the overlords, lord paramounts - and many-many people were the poor guys, including Hungarians, as well as Germans, Slavs, Armenians, and yes, Romanians too. All these people from several ethnicities were the cheap workforce on the lands, no matter what language they spoke.
      I would ask you that if Romanians had so bad life in the Hungarian ruled Transylvania, why did they migrate in masses from Romania?

  • @OkosPala
    @OkosPala 13 років тому

    @severussius Jobbik and similar organisations are much less extreme and aggressive than Meciar's, Fico's and Slota's parties. Although Jobbik has aggressive style, it do not want to ban the use of any language, do not want to eliminate ethnic minorities.
    About the citizenship: I do not wonder that you lack awareness in this field as well. Your hate motivates your comments, not your knowledge! Dual citizenship is a very well known means, and widely used in Europe, even in less serious cases.

What people forget is who were the decision makers of this unfair treaty? It was the US and UK powers who won both World Wars and they were the principal powers who actually controlled every paragraph of the treaty including the 2/3 loss of Hungarian territory.

    Central Europe Detailed research by Hungarian geneticists concluded that the Slavs and the Germanic peoples are the closest in Central Europe and that the Hungarians/ Magyars are somewhat farther from either of them, but closer to the Slavs than to any other group. In addition, genetically, they are exactly the same people. The inhabitants of Budapest are closer to the Slavs than the rest of Hungary. Budapest became a single city occupying both banks of the river Danube with its unification on 17 November 1873 of Buda, on the west bank, with Pest, on the east bank. BUDAPEST consists of two words. In the Slovak language, this is what the word BUDAPEST means: BUDA - PES - T (Doghouse) (Letter “T” at the end of the word has been added by Magyars/Hungarians) BUDA - a dog's kennel. PES - dog This means that the Slavs in the area at the time (current day Slovaks) built the city which is called Budapest, and this is their signature stamp they left behind to symbolize their dominion over the invading Magyars at the time the city was created originally.
    In 1991 it pointed renowned geneticist LL Cavalli Sforza, Professor of Stanford University (USA). The results of their large-scale genetic studies, which took place in present-day Hungary evaluated the professor follows: " Hungary is an anomaly in Europe. The language is Asian, but European population, mostly Slavic. And these Slavs are the original inhabitants of the Carpathian Basin. The absolute majority of the population of Hungary is not ethnically Hungarian (Magyars), but instead it's mostly Slavic and European continuously. Leaving only the Hungarian name and agglutinating language. Hungarian genes are not. "(Scientica American, November 1991). In the vernacular words: every second Slovak Hungarians, just about even know …
    *Another fact, which is not fully known to the general public, the dominant position of the Slovak language to the other Slavic nations. In this context, we mention the work of American linguist and scientist prof. Price's, which considered the Slovak language as " the key to all Slavic language" and for the media to an understanding with other Slavs. (John D. Price, The Key to all Slavonic languages, SHF, Columbia University, New York, Dec. 15, 1943, 9 p.). Professor J. Price this idea expressed at the Congress of Slavists in Warsaw. The Polish delegation came out with a proposal that was approved by the definition of the first Slavic language in which the decisive point is Slovak. In addition to the Czech delegation, everyone voted for the Polish proposal: "the Slovak language is the oldest and according to him is then created other Slavic languages" (Canadian Slovak, Slovak, the oldest Slavic language, Toronto, March 23, 1989).

    @DIHORY Before writing so stupid comments, try to use your mind! The land of the USA was not occupied from Hungary, those Hungarians who live in the USA, migrated there. On the other hand, Hungarians in Slovakia became citizens of another country because of the Slovakian occupation, and since that, they are victims of cultural genocide.

      Slovak occupation? Slavs lived in the area long before the arrival of the Mongols who would eventually settle down and become Hungarians.
      And the Slovaks were ruled over by said Hungarians until Trianon.
      You occupied us. And you even took a bit of us for yourself when Nazi Germany disarmed the first Czechoslovak republic, established the protectorate of Czechia and Bohemia, and forced the first Slovak republic to give land to Hungary and Poland.
      So how exactly did Slovaks, the indigenous people of the area, occupy the invaders? We do want to coexist in peace, but we cannot do that if you keep claiming our land as your own.
