and when you bleach your hair like that you have to dye it back dark or cut it off, so the color can often look a little unnatural until his actual natural hair color grows back in, same case for Cody
Besides the comments about Adam’s hair, this was one of the best segments WWE has done in years. They took someone lingering in the mid-card and have organically made him the biggest babyface. If he can win the Rumble, and have him come back as the NXT version with his old music, the pop that he would receive to win would rival that of Bryan or Kofi winning at Mania.
When he gave them back to Jay, Jay said no wear them and sami responded no they are yours and then Jay took them I think the plan is for the world titles and Jay and Jimmy turn on Roman
I have a feeling that this segment will be up there with stuff like the "This is your life"-segment with The Rock and Foley and it will be remembered as one of the greatest segments in RAW history.
My three favorite Wrestletalk boys!! The chemistry they have when watching things together (same with the clash at the castle reaction) is brilliant! Also Adam looks like he travelled back to 2016! Gives me nostalgic vibes ❤
In all seriousness, whomever was the producer on the trial. 👏🏼 I had literal tears in my eyes at the end of that segment. The way the cameras were placed Jey Uso of all people coming to Zayn's defense. Philadelphia right up there with the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York. The toughest crowd to keep their attention and not have them take over the show. I am going to be bummed when The Bloodline angle ends because it is hitting on all cylinders.
I don’t watch WWE week to week, but keep up with what’s going on. One of the biggest things I was amazed by is how over Roman was in Philly the same location that booed him out of the building in 2015 with the rock after the rumble
At 1:52 “More like the TRIALbal Chief.” I laughed so hard when Adam said that. On an honest note, i really enjoyed this segment with the trial of Sami Zayn. When Jey defended Sami, I was really touched. I had tears too. Jey said Sami grew on him. In real life, I can relate to Sami Zayn. I had a former employer told me the same thing. He said I grew on him too. Sami is my spirit animal.🥹🥲
23:50 To be completely fair, Vince did start the Tribal Chief gimmick.... Triple H took it to be potentially the greatest intentional story in wrestling history (and maybe of ANY story), but Vince was in charge at the inception of this whole deal.
Thats my thoughts exactly, i am not liking Vince back, i dont know if he or Heyman or a colab from both, the begining of the story was Vince, sometimes he gets it right. Mostly wrong, when it went stale, i am so glad Trips was there to right the ship. This has become exponentially better and powerful than Vince ever could make it. I think Vince has a 4-6week interest factor, then wants to move on. Trips sees the whole picture, no matter how long it takes to climax.
Go watch No Rolls Barred, specifically a best of August compilation. The laugher in unison in that is genuinely the funniest thing I’ve watched for years!
From someone whos been following Adam since atleast 2016, I haven’t seen him this invested in something since possibly 2016🤣 He was reacting like the old school Whatculture reactions, THIS STORYLINE IS GOLD
I love you Adam, it's always good to see you! Your one of the best on wrestling! Wouldn't mind to see you cover some regular reviews, just to see more of you!
Such a cleverly booked show✨ We were given tease of dropping raw tag team titles as its for raw tag team championship and not undisputed tag team titles. Finally we weren't expecting this level of storytelling ❤
I think the best decision is that you stick with the original plan and have Cody win the Rumble, have the Bloodline cost Sami in the Rumble so you can set up Sami entering the Chamber, IN MONTREAL, and winning to then give you Sami vs Roman in the other mania main event (Winning the Chamber gives you a shot at the titles similar to the rumble, put the 6 runners up from the Rumble in so it makes sense that its the guys who got the closest but just lost out to whoever wins the Rumble, Cody in this case). I'd then go on a long storyline of Roman slowly spiralling more and more into his delusions still insisting he is the champion and the Head of the Table while all around him all the member of the Bloodline slowly abandon him which can lead towards Roman vs Rock, but instead of for any titles you do it for the mantle of Tribal Chief at maybe Summerslam or if you can really stretch it out Mania next year which Rock wins. Leaving you with a totally broken, lost Roman which you can build up as a babyface again.
I’m so lucky to have been able to go to this event live. I’ve been kind of out of WWE for a bit but that opening hour brought me right back in neck deep
Sami is hitting homers. Sure. But we need to acknowledge Jay. I rewatched the clip of when he lost to Roman from the thunder dome era. This underlying story of Jay always being the one opposing Roman is also crafted masterfully, for years now.
I can answer Adam's question at 19:51 You don't put Sami in the rumble because he gets added to the KO-Roman match to make it a triple threat, Roman uses Sami to beat down KO and then Roman can come in at the end once Sami presents KO to him and have Roman beat down Sami. Let's Cody get his rumble win that will allow him to take the WWE title from Roman on night 1 of Mania, and then allows Sami to begin his chase for the Blumiversal title.
I'm predicting that Roman's test for Sami at the Rumble is that he makes Sami the special guest referee for his match against Owens. To prove that he's REALLY loyal to both Roman and the Bloodline. If not that he'll probably have Sami be put in at 1.
My only gripe with this segment is Paul Heyman's motivation. He played his part great in this, but he was the one telling Roman to keep Sami around until the KO problem is over. Maybe he just saw the trial as a means to manipulate Sami into trying harder to make it up to Roman, maybe Roman acted out off screen and got Heyman afraid of what'd happen if he didn't go against Sami, this time, maybe I'm missing something... but outside of that, the segment was absolutely great.
The best dynamic between the Bloodline faction is awesome because there are 6 members (Paul Heyman uncluded), 3 of them are heels and 3 of them are babyfaces, which has never been seen before. Even though Jey and Jimmy are now babyfaces, they still work well with the heels Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa because they're family. They just have different morals. Now, I kinda wanna see the Usos turn on Reigns and Solo, it's incredible how many directions this storyline can take.
This segment was magic I agree with Adam that this segment is what wrestling should aspire to be. I kind of wanted to Dom to win because he has been amazing too but I couldn't complain too much because the match was amazing.
See Adam, the Wrestletalk team want you on their channel, why can't they be on NRB? But yeah, seriously the tribal court segment was masterful, it built up so much tension and fear and the save from Jey is so satisfying to see considering the story so far. I don't know who is coming up with these week to week segments but they deserve a raise... It's probably the people in the story doing most of the heavy lifting I'd wager. Hello Sullivan.
When they did this segment and alluded to the Rumble after announcing Cody's return, you just know Sami is winning the whole thing. And he so, so deserves it.
Remember this bloodline story started with jey loosing to Roman in the I quit match in HIAC 2020 that put jey into servitude. What if thi has all been the long con of Jeys? Him putting people and events into place to dethrone roman
Never forget, he is the MASTER STRATEGIST... Opens threw the contract at Sami Zayn. He never let go of that contract. What if Sami signed the contract and it's now a triple threat? That would free up Cody to win the rumble
I have all of these questions now - like will Jey turn face and turn on the Bloodline too? I almost thing that (way way down the road) they could do something with breaking up the Usos and having Jimmy go full heel as a sycophant for Roman, and start a NEW tag team with Solo. Then have Jey and Jimmy make up and face Solo and Roman as a tag team.
When Roman yelled, "SOLO", I was genuinely scared for Sami. Jey saving him from the Samoan Spike was beautiful. Ahhh this storyline is so good.
I laughed , I cried and I 💩 my pants during that segment.
