They should have seized that passport. It wasn't his...it could serve many illegal purposes. And where is the woman ?

@BorderSecurityOfficial i think they investigated it further than what we saw on the video. It was edited perhaps....cut and paste.

There are women who are trafficked this way. The yakuza aren’t strangers to this. The border control might have used a private room and had translator services to assist, making an effort to contact the female passport holder. Something feels amiss. I think packages, cigarettes, and tropical foods were given more scrutiny. Maybe, too, the editing of the video left something out.

Perhaps it is time for Australia to start banning admittance to everyone who ignores its safety and biosecurity. The $300 fine is simple and encourages people to repeat their actions.

@ here in the US you might hear a whole bunch about fentanyl and the problems that come from it. The main focus is stopping it from coming in the country where that will work in small quantities, but the real solution of the problem would be to get these people help make a situation that they’re in much better by doctors, housing psychiatrist, etc. if I want to do drugs and only 10 to 50% get stopped it’s just gonna drag the price up, but I will always be able to do those drugs and they will always find a way to come into a country whereas if you stop 50% of the people by helping them that number decreases drastically and know what I mean
That was kind of where my comment comes from
      Thanks.
