Race has always been an issue in Western society, CC did the John Cena, then whites took umbrage when Angel Reese did it to her. White America tried to nuance the gestures, based on where they occurred in the respective games. White America cast CC as a victim and Reese as the villain. That has been feeding the majority of the commentary around the WNBA this season.

Comn.. Even for tv viewership the peak number for Caitlin's games was 2.13 million viewers while the NBA finals averaged 4.54 million, and thats an average not a peak.

Whoever was guarding her when she was shooting like that can make the argument it was directed at them, but the point is though, Angel was taunting when she did hers. She was literally chasing down Caitlin putting her hands in her face and all that and that's what people had a problem with. In any other sport you can't do that. People get penalized just for staring in the NBA. The NFL is worse. You can do all that YOU CAN'T SEE ME all you want, but when you start going in people's faces and shit, then it becomes a problem.

Used by people like SAS. Stephen keeps trying to perpetuate that Caitlin Clark was doing the John Cena "You can't seem me" move to her opponents, which she never did. Caitlin would never do that towards anyone, and it was always done away from the other team. ESPN has video of Caitlin doing that move at Hailey Van Lith, but the video just happens to capture Hailey in the shot at an angle. Hailey Van Lith has come out and said that Caitlin was not doing that towards her, and she laughed about it. SAS knows this but keeps showing the videos and blames Caitlin for that causing Angle Reese to do it right in her face. Perspective matters, and to push the race agenda, SAS leans right into it. Lost a lot of respect for SAS over his cow toeing to the ladies on ESPN who can't even think straight about Caitlin Clark.
