Jacob Portugal I’m really curious to hear what experts think about this too. I just test rode a 2015 tallboy today and it felt great. However, I ended up buying a 2019 canyon spectral instead because so many people say the modern geometry (slacker head tube angle, steeper seat tube angle) is so much better. I wish I could have taken the tallboy on a trail with climbing and descending to see how it performed, because again it felt amazing on the gravel road I tested it on.
Currently own 2015 lt cc, wider bar , these bikes still rocks- I raced an xc competition (amateure) with these with xc tyres, and with burrllier tyers they are great for AM rides. Can't compare them though to newer geo.
What happened to Mike Farrentino? Did Rob fire him or did he quit? I hate to say it but Mike here became associated sort of as the face of SC. He did such a nice job of marketing for them. Any one know about MIke?
Yeah it does cost more than the regular Tallboy and just a few weeks ago Santa Cruz raised their prices on all their carbon bikes across the board. My LBS said the price of carbon is going up in the market so goes the price to you and me. Sux...
I could have afford it. But then my income tax came in and I have to pay equivalent of this bike for some bullshit tax form 2010. Thank you government for your ass rape taxes.
This guy is just so good at talking about Santa Cruz bikes.
So what do people think about this bike 7 years later. Is the geometry still relevant? Is it too old to still be a good bike?

I have always thought the same BUT this one looks good as it has a bit more travel!!!

How much does the aluminum bike weigh?

maybe that's just like an extra large size but that bike is HUGE
Is a M or L?
Oh yeah, time to take out a new loan on the house!
Lol!
color options for 2016?
Bryan Jackson Heard they are updating LT.... so soon.... I hope.
+Doug Dueck so which one is the ltc the aluminum or carbon one?
LTc = Long Travel Carbon
Wish I didnt test ride one. Now I'm thinking of selling my Blur LTc to get one.
Fortunately it's a Santa Cruz and great bang for the buck. If this were a low-volume dealer you might have to sell a kidney and a pancreas or two.
yeah - seems a bit steep for this type of rig.
Yeah, I kinda know what you mean. I don't particularly like the looks of them either.
guess 2699 was right, mikey
@techracer100 that joke isnt original anymore...
@techracer100 funny...

A L U M I N I U M...... Alu' min' ee' um! Count the letter I, yeah there's two! ;)
Just kidding ;) great bikes, my mate wants one.
Jason Williams in the UK they say aluminium. In the US its aluminum. Like pavement and sidewalk, kinda ;) got it?
