Very similar to the original. The real difference is Matt, who does all alone the job of two guitarists and one singer. This man is pure energy

Okay, so I'm a Duranie, they will always be number one to me. When I first heard Muse, I just had to go see them. After 3 Muse concerts now, wow!!! What a sound they have, what a voice, what a musician. When I went to my first Muse concert, my mother said to me as I was leaving, I hope Duran Duran don't get mad at you!! lol. I am so glad to know that Muse are fans of DD, I hear a lot of DD style as I listen to Muse.
Chris is a great harmony vocalist
He really is, his voice has a lovely timbre and it complements Matt's so beautifully. I absolutely love in the Exogenesis Symphony when you can really hear Chris's harmony on "get it RIIIIIAAAIIIIIIIIIAAIIIIIIGHT" and the blending of their voices is just so, so beautiful.
Camera 4 is probably being operated by Simon Le Bon :-)

Man these guys fit this song like a glove.
Anybody notice that they got the lyrics wrong or changed them deliberately or both? And judging by Matt's wry smile at around 2:08 he knows he got them wrong.
It starts at 1:58. The lyrics should be "Strut on a line, it's discord and rhyme, I howl and I whine, I'm after you. Mouth is alive, all running inside, and I'm hungry like the wolf."
Stunning cover version, and easily as good as the original!

Good cover. Very much like the live versions from DD when Andy reunited with them. This is similar to the way I play it when I'm playing guitar instead of bass. The only difference in the verse is on the E chord I strike the Bottom E string to go along with the bass to give it some body and distortion. I mute the G string and strike the D and top E string, and alternate back to the Bottom E. I've seen Andy do that live and it seems to give it more power.

For me it is an OK cover, nothing more. I prefer the original. As I said, Matt Bellamy is a patch on Simon Le Bon. Of course, the other part of performing a great song is the writing of the song in the first place. Duran Duran wrote it in 1982. I wonder if in 35 years time bands will be playing covers of Muse's songs. Time will have to tell on that one, but i for one very much doubt it.

It's a fairly average cover; just a direct playback of the original without adding anything at all. Nothing uniquely "muse". Despite that, I love hearing one of my favourite bands covering my all time equal favourite band.

first of all - interesting way to upload a video. Not sure if this was intentional. Second, gotta hand it to cam 6 for pulling through and sticking with it - not sure of the director set it up so 6 was the one rolling through all the zoom shots while everybody just tracked, or if 6 was just hyped up on redbull. Third, what the actual fuck is 6 set up on? A Steadicam? That or they loosened the ball on their tripod. Either way, guy's gotta tighten something.
I always thought Muse could do a perfect cover of We Run by Strange Advance. Matt Bellamy has a very similar vocal style imo

I've played this song with my friends, basically doing Matt's part, and I related so hard to that moment lol because this song has SO MANY WORDS IN IT. SO MUCH LYRICS. It's a lot to remember and easy to forget/mix up 😅

Muse and Duran Duran are my top two favourite bands! People shamed me for loving Duran Duran, glad Muse like their music enough to make a cover! Never imagined a world where the two would be combined. A full on collaboration would be magic!

Muse are the same age as me and Duran Duran were the first huge band I got into around the age of 5 so I can imagine this is a genuine cover and not an ironic one.
I thought it was pretty good.
Good cover, but I'd like to hear a studio version of it. I think Matt's vocals weren't quite audible enough and I was left wanting to hear the vocals as much as the rest of the musical elements. If anyone is aware of a studio version, I'd be grateful for a link as I haven't found one yet,
