That along with him being tall give him a huge speed advantage. Someone 6" shorter than him would have to be much more efficient to hit the ball as far
He's so mellow, laid back in his content I expected the swing to match. Decent but relaxed and not so high swing speed I was very surprised. He's got alot in the tank.

Fitting is wild, and totally entertaining. Problem of hitting drives too high, never would've thought he'd end up with higher loft on the head. So cool
Pretty sure he didn't end up with higher loft than his original driver. He had a Stealth that looked like it was 10.5° then they went to the Cobra that was 9° and they changed it down and up a bit until they ended at 9.5° but that's still lower then he started at and a pretty low loft in general for a driver.
Building the longest clubs in your bag to have a built-in shape I think is one of the secrets for golfers looking to lower their scores. I go with Driver-fade, 3W-draw, 3 Hybrid (18-degrees)-fade, 4 Hybrid (21-degrees) Draw - this way I feel the clubs can almost overlap in distance but have opposite built-in curvature - and it gives me confidence, before I even take the swing, that unless I override it, the ball should move a certain way.

Interested to see the selection of the Fujikura Speeder NX 60 X shaft with variable torque. Seems like the Ventus with Velocore gets so much more attention.
What's the plan for the ball now? The chromesoft X likely gets more speed out of driver, but that profile won't match up with what you did with the AVX for the irons. Is there something that would be a solid compromise? Z-star? Chromesoft X LS? Left dash prov1? I'm curious about that now.
Woulda been nice to see him test the Mizuno and Ping heads as I think they’re such great and underrated drivers these days. But the LTD is such a nice club and face, I think he’s gonna be smashing his way to low scores with that swing and club. 👍🏻

With that club head speed, if Marques can putt at all and think his way around the course there is no reason he shouldn’t be low single digits without too much work.

mkbhd's speeds are so close to mine, I would love to see you fit him for a 5w or 7W! (i know it's already wrapped) As a mid handicapper I'm going with a 7w this year to give me a consistent 260 club that i don't have to work at for yardage, and hopefully give myself some better full wedges into the greens. 3 wood for me still can creep up around 300 yards so it's too similar to driver for my game. I'll stay tuned!
I slowed the vid down to slowest possible and looks like Marques’ initial move in takeaway is with arms. Maybe start takeaway with shoulder rotation first, then arms
Was there any reason you decided to go with a Callaway Chrome Soft X (around 95 compression) instead of staying with Titleist and looking at Pro V1 (around 90-100 compression) or Pro V1x/-Pro V1x (around 100-108 compression)? You could even look at the TaylorMade TP5/TP5x (80-85 and 90-95 respectively). Was this a conscious decision or did you just happen to have one readily available and knew it was one that in the ball compression zone you were looking for? I even thought maybe with driver swing speeds nearing/exceeding 120 and iron swing speeds in the PGA range, you could throw in something like Mizuno RB Tour X (110 compression and supposedly the hardest ball on the market that's not directed at long driving) for a test.
Pretty telling and very bad for Taylormade that im starting to see a lot of fitting vids where ppl are being fit away from their stealth to other drivers. In my driver fitting it took only about 8-10 swings to eliminate stealth. It was all over the place. Found the 790’s the same, no consistent misses. As a guy who was diehard TM’s for over 20 yrs its quite disappointing. Now it Titleist Tsi2 and ping I525’s. Love em!!!
The Stealth is a dog. Very hard to hit and only the very best can manage it, but put pretty much any other driver in an amateur's hands and it will deliver more consistent results. Great marketing by TM, but the playability of the G425, Cobra etc doesn't lie even with dry ball launch data
@@bspnhd5760 Absolutely. I didnt even hit the stealth irons in my fitting because i was so turned off by the driver. No matter, the Ping I525’s are frikken sweet, incredibly consistent with a ton of playability for shot shaping. I think whats so disappointing for the stealth driver is 20 yrs that driver was in development. Wow!!! And thats from the mouth of a TM designer who helped design it. I know ppl really liked the sim2, but i couldnt get past the ugliness of it. Imo TM’s last good driver was the M4 and the M2 was there best in 20 yrs. How did they fall so far?

Distance is just speed and coordination. Get faster you'll hit it further.

It’s not going affect the fit it will affect the flight off the head. Balls react differently in spin and speed as well as the bounce off the face

that swing does not look like its 120 mph
I had him swinging as fast as he could and he peaked at 126mph.
