How important is a board size comparing to a rider's height and weight? Do correct size boards help to achieve better results on the early stage of training?
Yes the correct board size matters but it isn't as exact of a science as one might think. There are some general ranges that people work off of. Based on your profile picture you appear to be a taller, bigger guy so if you were riding anything from a 142cm and up, you would be in good shape. Boards under 136cm would feel very heavy and sluggish through the water for bigger people. By contrast a lighter person (under 130 lbs) might struggle with being able to manipulate a larger board (140cm and over).
