I will open up a few "Unsearched" Wheat Penny Rolls from the closed Flint Amusement Park (1921-1961) once located in Flint, Michigan. First comment been watching your channel now for a couple of years enjoy it very much also enjoy the live stream . Just wanted to say I really enjoy the longer sessions like to see more of them. Keep up the good work Rob
A few years ago I bought a bag of 500 mixed wheat cents for my younger brother for Christmas from an ebay seller with no pretense of having been searched. It was an excellent mix of mints and decades and contained around 15 different Indian Cents as well in decent condition. It was a seller with great reviews. My brother has autism and really enjoyed it as I enjoyed watching him search it.
Brings back memories of when I started collecting in 1958 in Southern California. I kept all pennies 1939 and older and probably have 40,000. Still collecting and as I say it is the cheapest hobby you can have if you just roll hunt. I found one flying eagle penny and hundreds of Indian heads. My best penny is a 09 S VDB in extra fine condition. (bought that one). Keep up the good work and love your videos.
Holy Cow! 40k is impressive. You are actually sitting on a nice pile of money if you were to resell on secondary markets! I would love to share some of those resources should you ever decide to sell. If you just wanna dump 40k coins on your descendants then you could do that also 🤣🤣
Also makes me think of the past. My mother saved all her wheats but had NO Idea what she was doing with them. It was just her thing. She had several pill bottles full and as a kid I would get into them every so often and play with them in secret. Then I would put them all back just how they were. Never thought that 30 years later I would be a full blown coin addict lol.
The wife and I were watching your video the other night and you found that Penny with the cross clipped out of it. I said Oh wow id like to have one of those. The very next day she comes home from work and says Hey Babe I got you something. She searches thru all the change before making drops and buys out any coins im looking for so she could have had anything. She reach me a Cross Penny. I was like dang whats the odds of that lol. She scored 14 Silver Benjamin last week.
Well that was fun! Really interesting mix of dates and conditions. Nothing too worn, but nothing really super nice either. I wouldn't have any idea if legit or not. I suppose if they were only used at the arcade it could explain the condition. Either way, that was fun to watch! Hope you get to do more like this!! Longer videos are okay with me. Until the next one!!👋
That was an interesting hunt with a good variety of dates and mints. When I was a paperboy back in the mid 70s I would sometimes get an Indian Head and the odd steelie when I collected my weekly payments. I live in Canada and I miss having circulating pennies because I could get American pennies and if I did , any before 1959 I would keep. Penny hunts rock!
Hello Rob, I haven’t found a silver quarter or half in 4 months and based on all the silver you’ve found recently, I think my drought is partially your fault 😂 Keep up the good videos, may 2025 be a silver heavy year for all of us!
Very cool video Rob. Thanks for sharing! I just shared a video of finding a really nuce AU Wheat Cent ender. I know you probably have a jillion of them but it was special to me cause its the nicest Wheatie I have ever found in a roll!
rob i'd definitely recommend you open up one of those ends witb a screwdriver like you did and then use a steel rod or a sharpie to push out tight rolls like that if you want to save the wrap. from my experience it works, just dont push too hard or the wrapper could spin out and become loose if ya wanna save em
People may think why didn't they pull those out back then. If you think about it, how many do we see now from 80's, 90's & 00's etc. Nice to find IHP's & steel in there.
I recently picked up two rolls of what I would consider those scammy eBay "unsearched by me rolls" with an Indian head cent ender. I got them for VERY cheap from my LCS Whatnot show. I was pleasantly surprised with the contents. A ton of steel cents, the IHC enders of course, and most surprisingly there were a pretty decent number of pennies in the teens. I had never seen pennies that old. A cherry on top was a steel cent with a massive die crack through nearly the entire coin. I doubt I would have bought these unless I got them for as cheap as I did.
Very cool hunt, Rob. I don't know what to think about that one 43 steel cent either. Not sure if it's oxidized or a re-plate. Definitely one of those things that make you go hmmmm
Rob, I think both are real older rolls. There was too many goodies, even oldies. Also, that both looked old. Finally, I bought so-called “unsearched rolls” on eBay. They don’t come that loaded with early dates like these rolls. Yeah, it’s close but I see the needle barely on the genuine side of the scale. One doesn’t hit the jackpot on original rolls every time anyhow. So, it all comes down to just making a decision not to be a cynical person like so many are. 🤔✝️🏆🇺🇸
I would want to know how and where stored since I have gotten old rolls and usually see if roll from 1956 there should be more 50s looking new. My rolls were many from last dates new 1969 to 1972 while older not as many wheaties although few with great appeal. But still good rolls.
"Could these two wheat cent rolls really be unsearched?" Unless they're from before 1920 or so, assume the answer is always no. Even in 1946 a 09-S VDB was going for about $8 in Fine ($129 in today's money, so you beat inflation with a tire iron if you invested). The search was pretty good though.
You would think there would be more new ones from the 40s and 50s if they were authentic but I could be wrong. Anyway, last night the Coinstar machine yielded a silver 1962D dime and a 1984 Canadian quarter I needed for my book.
Now does this count towards the circulated penny hunt to fill the books if they will fit any of the empty holes? Nice finds still looking forward to next video as I search east coast boxes and build sets for my grandkids got to do something to pass time waiting for warmer weather!
I'm a skeptic. My thinking is the 1910's & 20's coins should be in better shape if they were wrapped in the 50's. They look like the ones you occasionally get today with a 100 years of wear rather than 30 to 40 years. Also would think there would be more shinny 50's. I could be wrong.
I just started collecting. I have some interesting wheat pennies. A lot of them weigh 3.1 from 1910 to 1920. I got some with Aris of the W crooked I have a doubling on a lot of of them. How do I go about getting them looked at I brought them to this boot corners auction and the guy said he don’t deal with panties only silver I’d like to know where to go if possible thank you.
Pennies used at a penny arcade confirmed! You will rarely find shiny UNC detail on arcade coins as they are reused and only coins purchased are to replace what people take home.
I think so too. I wanted to see nicer ones from the 40’s and 50’s but if they were arcade coins those would have been taken home and not recycled too much.
Great video as always Rob, nice job!.......but as an avid collector of OBW rolls (I currently have approximately 650 rolls of all denominations from 1935 to 1959) I can tell you with absolute certainty that these are recently rolled coins.....That style/font on that roll is not right and made to look old with the blotchy ink, an arcade name, etc. and remember, all rolls are color coded red/maroon for cent, blue for nickel, green for dimes, orange for quarters and tan/brown for halves......
Thank you for this video…I hyped myself up thinking you were gonna pull 09s banger outta them rolls…but I watch your vids as I search rolls and I gotta say i get motivated as I search…hoping I can find something worth bragging about…stay up Rob…happy hunting…can’t wait for the next vid…
I would have thought that there would be more uncirculated or almost uncirculated pennies. The rolls I get at the bank have a variety of old and new pennies.
Nice rolls with a nice mix of cents but if these were wrapped in the late 1950's why weren't there more internal marks on the inside of the paper? Also why weren't there a whole bunch of coins in the 40's and 50's (and even in the 30's) that were either red or red/brown? I honestly think someone came across some old wrapping paper stock and made these up recently. Still if they were all like this they could get $10-12/ roll. Buy the coins not the story.
Thanks for sharing! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (iron observe slam major mad decorate feed photo awesome vast kitchen faint). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
It's probably impossible to tell if they're "real" unsearched rolls, but well, they do seem plausible; if they're faked they did a great job faking them.

Thank you brother!
Nice to see lots of older wheaties though
Back then 1940-1958 Wheats weren't worth holding onto I am sure. Saving pennies 1939 and older almost sounds like saving nickels 1959 and older.
Holy Cow! 40k is impressive. You are actually sitting on a nice pile of money if you were to resell on secondary markets! I would love to share some of those resources should you ever decide to sell. If you just wanna dump 40k coins on your descendants then you could do that also 🤣🤣

Awesome finds Indian Head cents and steel pennies. Very nice video.
That was really cool! I wish I would have kept rolls from some of my old jobs haha. Thanks for sharing!
The wife and I were watching your video the other night and you found that Penny with the cross clipped out of it. I said Oh wow id like to have one of those. Now thats cool!
i really like those olds rolls
Great time watching
Cool finds in those two rolls
It’s a lot of fun, even if you don’t find anything spectacular. I love it
Man, those things were wrapped tight! Great hunt!
Great 2 roll wheat penny hunt congratulations on finding 4 Indian head pennies and 1912 d and other finds thanks for sharing Rob
1909-1939 oldies shall rule!
John and Nate, I'd buy 2 rolls of those. Rob, thanks for sharing.
Enjoyed this one, thanks.
Sorry for your loss, nice way to remember him.
Think of the kids back then shoving those pennies in the arcade games!
Some good stuff in those 2 rolls, hopefully they make a deal with you & you can buy some more of them Rob 👍
Like your penny videos. Thank you!
Great job my friend 😁👍
That was an interesting hunt with a good variety of dates and mints. This looks like fun on a Saturday afternoon 👍
Cool looks like old rolls can't wait to see what you find
Good, and thanks for acknowledging what they are worth and what you paid for them!
Not bad for free. Thanks for sharing.
nice seeing wheaties. Thanks for the vid!
Love this R!
Cool story!
Thiose are nice rolls😅😅😅😅i wud b happy😅😅
Don't be nervous we have your back!
Very cool Rob
“IF” the story is true, these were rolled BEFORE 1959 because if it were rolled in 1961, there would be Memorial cents. Thanks Rob
THANKS FOR THE GREAT VIDEO, EMILE FROM CT.
Hello Rob, I haven’t found a silver quarter or half in 4 months and based on all the silver you’ve found recently, I think my drought is partially your fault 😂
Keep up the good videos, may 2025 be a silver heavy year for all of us!
Quarters have been good overall lately, but my dimes and halfs are struggling.
Lmao
Very cool video Rob. Thanks for sharing! I just shared a video of finding a really nuce AU Wheat Cent ender. I know you probably have a jillion of them but it was special to me cause its the nicest Wheatie I have ever found in a roll!

Yep, thats how I pop ALL of my rolls when hunting. I did a video on it. I save and reuse all of mine.
People may think why didn't they pull those out back then. If you think about it, how many do we see now from 80's, 90's & 00's etc. Nice to find IHP's & steel in there.
Really fun video! Kept hoping for a major find. But fun, nevertheless.
Very interesting! 👍
Kewl search!
Brilliant! Yay…..

I agree brother. I think the rolls were a lot of fun with a lot of older dates.
@ 🏆💪🏻🇺🇸
Interesting review Rob. Were the rolls glued shut? Could you not have opened both ends and unwrapped them? The steel cents are cool.
I would want to know how and where stored since I have gotten old rolls and usually see if roll from 1956 there should be more 50s looking new. My rolls were many from last dates new 1969 to 1972 while older not as many wheaties although few with great appeal. But still good rolls.
Fun
Emile loves Benji’s!!!
Rob I wonder if you soaked in an aqueous soln then dehydrated the roll could be saved?
"Could these two wheat cent rolls really be unsearched?"
Unless they're from before 1920 or so, assume the answer is always no.

Oh the sound after the "happy hunting" changed.
Don’t worry those paper rolls will be recycled into new ones 😊
Looks like the rolls were roughed up with sandpaper to make them look older
12:33 is it just me or does the loop of the “9” and the D on the 1912 look funny?
Anyway, nice variety in these rolls.
Now does this count towards the circulated penny hunt to fill the books if they will fit any of the empty holes? Nice finds still looking forward to next video as I search east coast boxes and build sets for my grandkids got to do something to pass time waiting for warmer weather!
Technically it could but I think we’ll keep it separated. 🎵

The apparent age of some of the 1950's coins makes me question that these rolls were rolled in 1956 or '57.
Exactly. The 50's and late 40's should be mainly redbrown to red. Not to mention the replated steel cent which was done only for collectors.
Rob would value any opinions on 1st priority of D.O.G.E to eliminate penny? Separate video?
How many 1909 s vdb do you have?
10:17 why did I hear a ring sound effect
Untimely phone notification. I tried to cut some of it out 😂
Hi Rob. I have a question, What ever happened to that 1901 stunning Indian head that was graded as colored by pcgs? I know it's been 4 years plus.
"Questionable color"
@mrnoliver9 I know, but did he crack it out of the case and send it to NGC for grading?
I have not yet. It’s something I’ve been considering for years but it’s kind of a mascot for the channel as is now. 😂

I have rolls of wheat cents and Indian head cents I’d like to sell. They are metal detecting finds, so the condition of some aren’t ideal.
Would think the edges would be toned similarly but didn't look like it, I would be skeptical for sure.
I would have thought there would be more coins from the 50’s and more that would be about uncirculated if these were truly wrapped in the 50’s.
👍☺️
✌️
🇺🇸👍
I would have thought that there would be more uncirculated or almost uncirculated pennies. The rolls I get at the bank have a variety of old and new pennies.
There would be, if the rolls were legit.
Sounds like a legjt story
Im assuming the wrappers are antique. More than likely, rolled up more recently. Of course the 1943 steel was replated. Thanks RPT
Nice rolls with a nice mix of cents but if these were wrapped in the late 1950's why weren't there more internal marks on the inside of the paper? Also why weren't there a whole bunch of coins in the 40's and 50's (and even in the 30's) that were either red or red/brown? 15:55 For a quick second I thought this as a 1943 copper. But its just a 1945. lol.
To think in the past people went to the bank on a horse
Not a chance in hell those are very old. Many of the 1920s have way too much wear to be only in circulation for 30-40 years before being rolled.
He got hosed 😂
Looks like a couple rolls I got from Ebay , searched and reclosed .
Could arcades use holed cents? Seems fishy
I'm from Flint👍
Hope your water is OK!
No one cares!!!
Hello rob
Hey! 👋
I agree
How would one know if they were searched or not, and if they were, what year?. . .
I would have peed my pants if there was a '43 copper or '44 steelie. I wouldn't have any doubts about the story. It seems legit. The rolls were most likely rolled in the 1950's or '60s.
You do realize there are only a handful of those coins known to exist, right?? The odds of finding another one are pretty much nil.
Flint? Huh.. I hope they aren't made of lead.
I would rather drink the coins than Flint water.
I was hoping for a 14d xf
These are more modern. The '50s coins are too circulated, with no BU red examples
Yep. He got hosed
Is it true, the US Penny is going the way of the Dodo ?
No. Zinc lobby is too strong. Not going anywhere
E
BOOM! 💥
Those 1943 steel cents are huge money, and the 1944 if it sticks to a magnet is huge! The 1955 could be a DDO. Those indian heads are huge!!! Check NCG charts.
No 43 steelies are NOT “huge money “. 🙄🙄🙄🙄. Honestly, some of you commenters really need to do your homework and actually LEARN something 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I actually have a 1923 s wheat penny. Sadly that’s my only wheat penny from 1923
