The entire concept of the infinite garden is one of the coolest systems I've seen in a roguelite. Sure, other games have hub areas where u can build and farm, but having it be all of your minecraft items from past runs with full freedom to build whatever is a really cool concept and I hope more uses of it can come.

I LOVE THIS DATAPACK. I decided to go for a glass cannon build on my play through even though I’m really bad at avoiding damage. 😅 It was super fun, though. I haven’t beaten the dragon yet but have gotten close. At one point I even encountered a bug where it spawned me in the egg room upon entering the end. This datapack was still super fun and thank you SO MUCH for making a sequel. :) Also, a bit more about my strategy. I decided to shoot for the bow upgrades immediately so I could keep my distance and not die immediately. I also upgraded quick heal all the way for obvious reasons and got a lot of health. In fact, I started upgrading my sword incredibly late into the playthrough. I did feel like it got somewhat repetitive after a while, though, and I felt way too powerful sometimes. I think the progression was a little fast and kind of the same every time, with little difference between some of the higher level runs. This didn’t deter me, however, because the game is still incredibly fun. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I’m glad a second one got created, though, so I have more to experience. I wonder what class I should go for in my next build. 🤔
i've been waiting for the infinite garden since you vaguely mentioned you wanted to make it in the first video!!! this is awesome!!!!!! going to play this with my friends 100%
I honestly think this is such a cool idea, not just as a Minecraft mod, but as a game idea in general. Very well done. I wonder if there could be a way to incentivize building in the infinite garden more? Like a trophy system that people would want to make a museum for, unlocking new building blocks, or a small story line of repairing the destroyed ruins of a small castle? This may very well be the most impressive datapack I've ever seen, I'm excited to follow you're development journey.
It’d be awesome if in the newest MC update you added a class based around falling and mobility that uses the new mace weapon, and added some kind of boss or challenge in the Trial Dungeons! This update seems infinitely better than the previous state the gamemode was in and that was already super good!
I love that you can still build a base and whatnot in the infinite garden because it allows for that returning home type feel most roguelites have when you die, and for a more traditional Minecraft feel to be mixed into it.
this is awesome! probably need to start a new save i imagine. is there any way to get a compass to point to an overworld structure ?(i dont play minecraft much outside of this datapack). going to the stronghold coordinates was my least favorite part of the original, and it doesn't seem anything in this update fixes that. exited to check it out later.
The compass always points to your next goal. Basically, at first it tells you to go to the nether, then it points you to a nether fortress, after beating the Wildfire, it points you back to your portal, and importantly for you, once you're in the overworld, it points you to the stronghold
Oh hell yeah, loved playing this with my friend, cant wait to try out the new content! Should definitely change weapon/shield models for other classes too, since the Reaper stands out a little much now.
i know vault hunters but the gameplay loop from that and this is a little different and i havent been able to get myself to even try vh3 at all casue it sorta scares me
If anything for bosses, you could do some common ones like the warden and (like you said) the wither. But also could do a colossal squid or Flying Fortress phantom. An iron golem that’s beefed up or an elder hogglin. Just random ones that have a chance to spawn. Or even ones that the player can spawn themselves, like maybe a volcanic sniffer. Just looking at the other games, like Minecraft dungeons or legends, and those would be good inspirations. Just thought I’d throw my ideas out in the air. Have a good day/night!
I hadn't been keeping up with this since the first video showing it off, but holy crap the updates to the pack are SO cool! I hope to see more updates for this, and I definitely plan to kidn-I mean, play this with friends! :D
I can not describe how much I have been waiting for a pack like this. I have always wanted an infinite garden style roguelike where the items I get in the run are used outside for a home. Its just. So unique, so great
The algo landed me here, and you fixed my core issue with minecraft which is lack of progression. I've enjoyed these 2 hours i played the mod. Thanks for making it
15:43 for the reaper, it would be nice if aswell as killing mobs, doing enough damage also fills up your soul meter, giving it more uses in boss fights 👍
The Infinite Garden adds a lot of potential for server compatibility/multiplayer. You could totally make it to where you can have a server with your friends where everyone shares the same infinite garden but are able to go on their own runs and get resources for themselves. You could also make a party system so that you can choose whether to do a run with your friends or on your own. But then all of you share the same infinite garden. If you choose to add this multiplayer compatibility you could take two separate routes, but I recommend you do both. 1) Make it to where you can easily set it up on a LAN World, Realm, or personal server. Optimize it for personal use so that anyone can make their own infinite garden with just them and their friends. 2) You can make your own server where everyone on the server shares the same infinite garden and spread out through it using superhighways. Like a traditional survival server where you claim land and form factions, but using this new game mode. This could also be a massive money maker for you. Again though, I think you should do both.
Yes. I'll play it when it has multiplayer. I like minecraft and its mods but i'm a bit burnout from playing RLcraft and many other mods... Being able to play with friends is the only way i might play this, even if it costs money lol
From the mod page: "This data pack has been tested and designed with multiplayer in mind. So while it's perfectly playable and enjoyable in singleplayer, it's highly recommended to play this with friends."
sadly i removed the system itself bc minecraft's music system is simply kind of weird to deal with, but i did upload the unused songs on my second channel ua-cam.com/video/3tACaiU9UVM/v-deo.html
This is absolutely fantastic. If I may supply some suggestions, I think it'd be really cool to have an integrated "collection" system. You take the stuff from your previous runs, and place them on pedestals or something, and it unlocks a unique ability or something along those lines once you complete a "set" (something like all armor trims or sherds are kind of what I'm thinking of, or something like a dragon egg, nether star, and heart of the sea). I personally love the feeling of collecting stuff in a game, and it's very roguelite-esque to have something like this be a way to "complete" things further. I've been playing this fangame called "PokéRogue" lately, and one thing I really like is collecting the highest IVs, different natures, abilities, and forms, and even a few upgrades to each individual Pokémon. The feeling of progression through completion adds a lot more replay value to these games imo (and more replay value is nearly always a good thing for roguelites) You could also create unique treasures to be used in -maybe guarded by minibosses or in some rarer dungeons to encourage exploration beyond the normal "dungeons" in the game. I'm really looking forward to future versions! Your passion for this is really evident in your voice, and I really want to see this grow even more.
As a massive fan of rougelikes, this data pack completely refreshed Minecraft for me and I can't wait to see more! Maybe something related to the new trial chambers, like a new boss?
This is simply awesome. I just LOVE how individual, indie creators continue to show-up the average AAA studio time and time again. It really shows to me just how far passion can take you.
This is genuinely one of the coolest things ive ever seen on minecraft. The Infinite Garden lowk made my jaw drop. Outside of just being the coolest thing ever, it can have so much potential for future updates
Me and a friend of mine just recorded a playthrough of the datapack for SEVEN HOURS yesterday, and never did I get bored or tired. I genuinely think this is one of the coolest Minecraft modifications on earth, absolutely amazing job! Cannot wait to see what kind of new bosses and spells the game might bring in the future. (Please make the next bosses harder than the dragon it would be so epic to be able to progress for 20+ hours)
The infinite garden working like a minecraft "bedroom" from gachas is absurdly fun, and i dig it so much. Just discovered this modpack, and is already one of my favorites. Will totally be playing it.
Nah this is one of the coolest ideas I’ve seen in a while, the infinite garden and meta progression is really thought out and I’m glad you’ve brought the idea to life! Cant wait to play myself soon
this whole update is so good i can't wait to see what else is added, especially bosses with how cool your wildfire boss fight is. would love to see something like an elder guardian or something in the end cities. also, with the amount of spells now, i wonder if it'd be worth it for spells to have unique item textures per spell to make it easier to differentiate them? maybe tomes or something
This is amazing. One thing that I think would be great for the progression is more bosses. A boss to fight in the overworld when you make the portal in order to enter the nether and another in between the end and the nether that would fill out the overworld and would probably do wonders for the progression and flow of a run. you can add a different step to get to the end that is not in vanilla (flint and steel as boss drop instead of craftable?). To keep it easy on yourself one of those could be a wither and the other a warden but you’re the genius. Thank you for this!
Holy shit, this is something on a next level! Free space to build using past items. Sick abilities. Classes. Upgrades. Played the datapack already and love it SO MUCH. Can't wait and see where your project heads to in the near future
I am really excited to see where this goes, your new blaze boss is awesome and i love how creative it is while keeping the vanilla style very well. And the infinite garden is EPIC i love building, so i might have to check this out!
fantastic pack :) it’s the most fun I’ve had with solo minecraft probably since I first played it. just beat the ender dragon for the first time. thank you!!!
Honestly Rougecraft is the most fun I’ve had with Minecraft for a long time. Super fun early game, just showing how fun the basics of Minecraft survival can be. I kinda hated the dragon fight, feels like it’s still just “wait for a purge, then do damage”, as the attacks aren’t insanely threatening and the boss takes ages. Loved the Wildfire though, and hoping future bosses turn out great!
The only way I got to support you is by subscribing to everything you do my guy but you've literally merged my two favourite things together in a really seamless way. Try a Dead Cells approach and add more weapons like that scythe as a standalone, Unique tridents, hammers with the new update too. You got an amazing idea, there's only up from here.
Super amazing update! I loved beating the first version and I think every addition you've added is really great! Especially the new boss. I hope you keep updating the pack with more bosses and gameplay mechanics! Keep up the great work!
I've been having a struggle with motivation to open MC lately. Never have been a good builder and the game's getting monotone. This gamemode caught my eye and can't wait to try it once i have free time on my hands.
I've never heard of this data pack before this video and it sounds really awesome. Very excited to see what else you might add to it in the future, this has a lot of potential just like you said.
i really enjoy the idea of more bosses (though, mini-ones) being around key parts of the game's progression, like how the wildfire unlocks the stronghold and gives you the blaze powder instead of just killing blazes
The infinite garden having it so you can still build and create just like in the original Minecraft WITH items you got from previous runs is GENIUS game design. Not only does it allow for some of Minecraft’s original soul to leak back in as now you can make builds that last forever, but it also adds even more value to each run, as each one gives you more and more items to use in the garden.
Как же много сделано за кадром в процессе создания этого датапака. Если судить только по увиденному, это тянет на отдельную игру. Автору респект и уважение!
This would be awesome in a full-on modpack. Like Vault Hunters but with mods and that Infinite Garden where you return to in order to build your main base. Would LOVE to see the end-game of a modpack like that be something crazy like Fire & Ice dragons or Draconic Evolution.
I just beated the datapack and here is my feedback: - It was very fun, not too easy, but not too hard. - My favourite abiities are: Parry, Area Mine and Dirt Walker. - I also use Quick Heal all the time. - I think you forgot about existence of the shield, because its craftable, but not buyable (which means every run I need to mine and smelt one iron to craft it). - It would be nice to have a shulker box upgrade, as my inventory fills up very fast. - Dirt Walker doesn't replace grass, nether foliage, and fluids. - Food runs out every run. I don't know if this is intentional, and I am supposted to collect my own food, or if its a bug. - After the end of a run buying stuff takes up a bit of time, not because its hard to decide what you want, but because I don't know what I can afford. I think that all shops should show their price as a text display, not in the actionbar, and it should be dark gray if its locked/at max level, light gray if you can't afford it and white if you can. - Iron is useless after the first few ingots (maybe that's intended). - It would be nice if there was an ability to make a straight tunnel if the direction you are facing (including up and down). Something like Scarab Bomb from Terraria. - There could be a radar ability that finds ores or caves. - There could be special movement abilities like dash or double jump, that don't use the normal 3 ability slots, and instead are activated using Shift or F (swap hands) keys. - Hovering Inferno is a bit too easy. - Ender Dragon is just the right difficulty. - After the Ender Dragon fight you are immediately teleported to the hub. I didn't know this and had a lot of uncrafted skill points in my inventory. Maybe there should be a warning or it should autocraft skill points after dying/winning? This isn't a big issue, because I didn't loose that much points. - One time the stronghold didn't generate. There was a message in the chat, and compass did change, but the stronghold wasn't there. My seed was: -151445615346984795 and coordinates where 100 000 and 200 000. - There is a big lag spike after clicking "Start Run". Minecraft still runs normaly, but the item texture doesn't change the countdown doesn't start and the message in chat isn't displayed untile about 1 second. - It's annoying to have to run around the Infinite Garden after dying in order to retrive your inventory after dying. The particle pillars should appear close to the entrance. - There should be something you gain from building stuff in the Infinite Garden. Like maybe you can make a farm and then exchange produced resources for a little bit of skill points? - A difficulty setting would be nice. I also made another comment with an idea for a harder game mode, so I won't write it here. You can look for the comment if you want.

this is awesome! probably need to start a new save i imagine. is there any way to get a compass to point to an overworld structure ?(i dont play minecraft much outside of this datapack). going to the stronghold coordinates was my least favorite part of the original, and it doesn't seem anything in this update fixes that. exited to check it out later.
The compass always points to your next goal. Basically, at first it tells you to go to the nether, then it points you to a nether fortress, after beating the Wildfire, it points you back to your portal, and importantly for you, once you're in the overworld, it points you to the stronghold
@@MonoCodeYTAwesome! This is actually perfect!👍
Oh hell yeah, loved playing this with my friend, cant wait to try out the new content! Should definitely change weapon/shield models for other classes too, since the Reaper stands out a little much now.
god this is genuinley so cool i would kill for a modpack centered around smthing like this
there's "Vault hunters" is similar but with a sht a ton of mods
i know vault hunters but the gameplay loop from that and this is a little different and i havent been able to get myself to even try vh3 at all casue it sorta scares me
If anything for bosses, you could do some common ones like the warden and (like you said) the wither.
The whole concept is actually pretty cool. I would recommend something like a phantom boss in order to make use of the most annoying mob in the game.
Make all of the mobs from the first mob vote into bosses.
this actually looks nuts, and the fact that its a data pack is mindblowing to me fantastic job!
dude, you're honestly amazing
I hadn't been keeping up with this since the first video showing it off, but holy crap the updates to the pack are SO cool! I hope to see more updates for this, and I definitely plan to kidn-I mean, play this with friends! :D
A cool idea would be to add trophies similar to the Twilight Forest mod for killing bosses
It would be so cool to display them in the infinite garden
I can not describe how much I have been waiting for a pack like this. I have always wanted an infinite garden style roguelike where the items I get in the run are used outside for a home. Its just. So unique, so great
aw the garden idea is so cute
The algo landed me here, and you fixed my core issue with minecraft which is lack of progression. I've enjoyed these 2 hours i played the mod. Thanks for making it
I'm with a huge fever right now but GOD am I gonna try this then it goes away
15:43 for the reaper, it would be nice if aswell as killing mobs, doing enough damage also fills up your soul meter, giving it more uses in boss fights 👍
You can do update adding 1.21 support and mace
Trial Chambers will be cool too
Maybe It can be a location for news boss
He liked the comment im hoping 🙏
Bro this datapack was so much fun to play with my friend! Thank you for making it!
@@memb. it has multiplayer and it works very well
Can't wait to see how this project evolves! :D
Can it be played multiplayer?
Yes, I believe a large amount of it is actually designed with multiplayer in mind
From the mod page:
"This data pack has been tested and designed with multiplayer in mind. So while it's perfectly playable and enjoyable in singleplayer, it's highly recommended to play this with friends."
wow this is so amazing and creative i really hope that the music for the infinite garden is included in the datapack it fits the vibe so well
sadly i removed the system itself bc minecraft's music system is simply kind of weird to deal with, but i did upload the unused songs on my second channel ua-cam.com/video/3tACaiU9UVM/v-deo.html
Can this have a bedrock edition counterpart please?
WOW! You have been busy. The infinite garden is such a cool concept.
This is simply awesome. I just LOVE how individual, indie creators continue to show-up the average AAA studio time and time again. It really shows to me just how far passion can take you.
this is actually insane, i love roguelite/like games and this seems so cool. please keep working on this i cant wait to play it
This is soo cool!!! I really liked the previous version and then I saw this video with the best ideas to it. It was perfect.
oh, nad can you update the 3 pictures on the website?
@@Bernixmaster yup, will do that tomorrow
It looks amazing. So much potential, so much cool ideas. Thanks for making this amazing modpac
Ahh! I love the infinite garden, it’s so pretty and a lovely idea to make the runs feel connected!
Holy shit, this is something on a next level! Free space to build using past items. Sick abilities. Classes. Upgrades. Played the datapack already and love it SO MUCH. Can't wait and see where your project heads to in the near future
WOW this is absolutely INCREDIBLE! I can’t wait to try this!
When I heard versus/dual playing, I started to pop off. I knew the wildfire would be sick, and with a presentation like that, boy am I exited.
I do think that it is the greatest data pack i’ve ever seen thank you so much !
I just played through the datapack over the past few days and it is the most fun ive had in minecraft in years!
This datapack is amazing and as you said, this feels like it's just the start.
One of the coolest mods I have seen for MC. Looking forward to seeing new content.
i had to come comment once i fully grasped the infinite garden. it is such a GOOD idea! it's so awesome, and it fits minecraft WAY too well!
I see you with that Calamity interlude music
This was by far the best datapack I've ever played. I'm looking forward for updates
I've been having a struggle with motivation to open MC lately. Never have been a good builder and the game's getting monotone.
This gamemode caught my eye and can't wait to try it once i have free time on my hands.
The infinite garden is just amazing! Thank you so much for cresting this! and a huge thanks to everyone else involved too!
Extremely underrated mod and UA-camr :3
its not a mod, it works entirely in vanilla
this man single handedly renewed my love for Minecraft and made Minecraft fun again (I just like roguelite/roguelike games more)
I can't stop myself to confess. You are a genius and I Love you
This is incredibly fun, I'm really loving this. Awesome experience all around!
Leaving the video early, will try it out myself! Thanks for your hardwork
Not only does it allow for some of Minecraft’s original soul to leak back in as now you can make builds that last forever, but it also adds even more value to each run, as each one gives you more and more items to use in the garden.
this just looks more like a fully fledged mod to overhaul the game rather than just a datapack. great work man!
I just beated the datapack and here is my feedback:
- It was very fun, not too easy, but not too hard.
