don't worry about this, there's no such thing as a Renault with fast 1st to 2nd gear. all the Renault I drove had the same problem, no matter whether it was a diesel or a petrol engine, upshifting from 1st to 2nd always result in gear powder floating in the gearbox oil lmao
A bit more rev when you start and take a milli sec more time to shift: everything will go smoother, you’ll be earlier at the 100 and the gearbox will like it as well. Also when you’re halfway through a corner, you can accelerate, in the video you wait a bit too long.

It was cheap, reliable, nice handling, had good fuel economy and got me through a 3500 km roadtrip around Europe back in 2014. Sadly his life ended in a head on head collision with a BMW X3 (wasn’t my fault). I survived with a broken hand and foot, still missing his little box today... Still got the R.S. sport emblem on my desk today :)
That’s sad to hear ... I hope this never happens to me and my c2 VTS. Those small french hatchbacks are unbelievably enjoyable to drive. With good tires and a decent suspension setup they out turn pretty much everything you will encounter on the road. And all that ( including mods ) for well under 10 k. In my opinion cars like the c2 VTS and Twingo rs are perfect project cars for people who really enjoy driving fast.
High revving N/A, be it only 6-7k redline, sounds heavenly in general. Add a cone air filter and you can wake up entire blocks even with stock exhaust lmao

Fun little cheap car. the sound a bit better then the suzuki. If you like this car you will love the suzuki swift sport. More reliable so more cheap to run and maintain. I personally i like Fifth generation then the last one.

Even the they tell you the 2012 is better. but still its made in Hungary so poor chassis quality. And common issue is valve clearance ticking noise. The GT Turbo Version is actually faster I crashed mine after 1 month of ownership by corner oversteer due to no weight on the rear axle and heavy rain! 🤣

This is one of the best sounding stock 4 cylinder cars (from year 2000 onwards).

5 gears is very low by modern standards. Some small cars still have this, eg the base engine Renault Clio or Volkswagen Polo.

@@Derpen1234 If you don't remap it, it is not faster. Remap: 120-125BHP. Better injectors: +10BHP etc.

it has max hp at 6750 rpm (7000rpm is max). All its power is high in the rev range. As it should be in a sporty car.

Skrzynia na prawdę jest bardzo krótka. On się kręci do 7k obrotów i dlatego tak wychodzi. Na 5 biegu on ma 3k obrotów przy 90kmh, a 6 biegu nie ma 😅
