Seeing a glorious creation like this makes me wish two things, 1 quadrupeds were animated better (esp. centaur-like creations), and 2 there was an actual tail function to allow for more subtleties in emotion.
I'm guessing you've already got this planned but the Felsaber mount from WoW seems right up your alley to create in spore :D Also this is wicked cool, a great creation got even better.

I think it would be cool if a mod existed where you had parts for an upper jaw and a lower jaw, so you could make you own mouth by attaching parts to that. You'd have it so the jaw parts would extend to the end of the mandible so as to avoid clipping and poor animation, then having it so you can 'link' two jaw parts so they work together properly, and so they don't spaz out when you have more than one head.
That is actually possible, albeit with either no "jaw opening" animation or a terrible one... ...though it'd have to be done individually for each mouth, meaning little support for other mods :P
If I remember right, the Thanator was the large panther-like creature that first attacked Jake early on, and Netiri later gains the help of. The Viperwolves are the smaller creatures (they look really similar) that attacked Jake as a pack, during his first night when he was alone. Usually I just include the creature and content names. This time included "best" - although to be fair it was mostly meant to be a bit of an ironic joke to call it clickbait :P
