  • In our second video in the Liberators of Protein Production series, our CEO and co-founder Dr. Pasi Vainikka explains the WHY of Solar Foods: the problems with relying on agriculture for our food and how science and new technologies can empower the individual to be part of the solution.

I want to buy stock in this company. As long as these intentions remain in the control that is. We can change the future for the better in big ways!

Are you guys receptive to genetically modifying your bacteria to produce more of choice nutrients?

Great video! But do not forget cities. To produce food in cities is really the future and is not possible today since there is simply not enough space. But with solar foods, you can produce huge amounts of food in small space and efficiently distribute this throughout whole city with minimal transportation. I.e. self sufficient cities! This is the future!

Look up vertical farming in cities ie. farming in repurposed office towers and the like.

I recently read an eye opening book called 'Sapiens' by Yuval Harari a professor of history. In it, he described the Agricultural Revolution (of 10,000) years ago, when 'Sapiens began to devote almost all their time and effort to manipulating the lives of a few animal and plant species' as "History's biggest fraud". He called it that because rather than being the beginning of an era of plenty it was the harbinger of mass extinction of plants and animals leading to the industrialisation of farming which is, in large part, responsible for today's climate emergency. The technology that Solar Foods are working to perfect has the potential to turn the clock back 10,000 years and in doing so make the next 10,000 much more survivable for the species. Not much pressure then!

Bravo! These ideas and technologies should be supported by multi-billion dollar investments.

Amazing. It give me so much hope in me for a much more sustainabiliry future. Engineer borned on a smaller eco farm.

Do you have funding from NASA and SpaceX. This seems like a way to make food on any planet with CO2.
