What a masterpiece. When her voice goes low in the latter parts it’s just killer (no pun intended), especially at the very end.
Wow, the strings and other orchestration on this otherwise stripped down guitar song is incredibly effective. Love it.

Timeless lyrics. Timeless questions asked by Kara Jackson (in the first two verses). Questions that may not have clear answers. Then, the ultimate realization and question in the chorus: "We're only waiting our turn/Call that living?" A stark, beautiful, painful, enchanting song about the helplessness people feel about the loss of someone and how we are constantly reminded of our own mortality and wonder about the ultimate meaning of it all.
