She meet Derek ( he is a journalist who works in the fashion industry. He has connections to major brands like Louis Vuitton and Calvin Klein (brands that emma works with). They became friends when they collaborated on a video on Derek’s channel (you can check that out ) . From there he helped Emma get in touch with these big companies and brought her into Cosmopolitan. The big brands didn’t choose her, Derek contacted them to help Emma. ( I know about all this because I work in the middle) . It’s not about merit, his luck is about contacts, not talent
@Selin Korkmaz UA-cam has hired Derek Blasberg to oversee the launch of a new division within UA-cam, one completely dedicated to fashion and beauty partnerships, cultivating relationships between UA-cam and the high-profile figures of the the fashion and beauty industries.
So we can say that neither emma Chamberlain nor any other UA-camr have connections with the big brands. Everything goes through Derek and he chooses whom he wants. Emma was not chosen cosmo or Louis Vuitton ... She is not someone special as she makes everyone believe. They are contacts . And having contacts is perfect, but it’s not right to make people believe that you’re chosen because you’re relevant because outside of UA-cam ( and only part of it ) nobody knows her
