    I'm sorry but I'm sick of seeing comments that are like: You don't need makeup. Makeup is stupid. Etc. Makeup is seen as such a negative thing in society. Women or girls who wear makeup are seen as fake, insecure, or stuck up. Many women/girls like myself love wearing makeup because it acts as an accessory or a beauty enhancer. It adds a pop to my everyday look, it's a way for me to openly express myself. I don't wear it because I hate the way I look because I actually love the way I look. I wear it because it's fun to do and I love it. There is nothing wrong with not wearing makeup and I often leave the house with nothing or a couple of things on my face. What I'm saying is that it should be a personal choice and we shouldn't be shamed or talked out of wearing what we love. 😘

    Aaaaanddd this is the reason I am a subscriber. You don't just sit there and put on makeup with cute music in the background like all these other gurus. You actually tell us what you're using, how to use it, where to apply correctly and why. You're one of my favorites, I loveee your videos girl

      I also I also agree about her voice is so much more soothing in this video. This is the Jacqueline that I really miss although I'm head missed this video since I've watched her. But it's so much easier for me to follow her in this video then a lot of videos the last few years not trying to be mean just saying that she seems like she's going so fast and more recent videos that my ears are telling me she's stumbling over her words or something.

    As always, loved it and found it informative, especially the information about moving the concealer brush back and forth and stippling instead of only spreading it in one direction. I learned something new! Perfect....just like your makeup!! Thank you, sister friend!

    The bobbi brown foundation looks divine! I've been wanting to try it for a while because I've seen so many people contour with it! I use the Maybelline FitMe foundation in a darker shade or the Mac Sculpting Creams ^.^

    Perpetually laughing at the stupidity of some people who like to purposely come on to makeup tutorials and comment that women need to wear minimal makeup. If you don't like girls who wear a lot or any makeup, then that's your preference, however, women will do whatever we damn well please, and if that means we like wearing a lot of makeup or contouring and highlighting, then so be it.

    Finally found the perfect cream highlight and contour video!!!! I've ALWAYS pretty much have done similar steps as you with the exception of going in with a smaller brush! This looks so much better than slapping in 2 color foundations and blending out!
    I seriously love your videos! I recommended to my viewers that they subscribe to you, your technique is amazing and your videos are so helpful!!!
    Thank you again Jaclyn!!!

So, this helps me A LOT to show the model how to do their own makeup! Also, I'm new to contouring and highlighting and you have inspired me to try it out! Thank you so much! You're AWESOME!

    I usually use a powder highlight, but I've just brought a cream highlight and I've been looking for tutorials and I'm so thankful for this video for fully explaining! no other video I've watched so far has explained even if you do concealer & powder before or after the highlight or if you apply straight to skin or to your finger and I've been so confused! this is the first that I've watched that's really explained it all, thank you! (also, you're absolutely stunning and your makeup is so flattering for your face!)

    has anyone heard of this tip by Wayne Goss, its primer, powder then liquid foundation. I can really explain what exactly it does..but this tip saved my life! Idk why shes saying its super bad to do. The powder absorbs extra moisture,blurs imperfections and allows the liquid foundation to spread more easily.

    • @niikolful
      @niikolful 8 років тому +2

      +Modified Curls I'm oily girl myself and use this tip from Wayne Goss. I'm curious to know how if Jaclyn's tip should only be used for dry skin.

    • @WhimsicalHare
      @WhimsicalHare 6 років тому +3

      Literally everyone in the cosmetics industry knows that you should not put powder before cream. If you're fucking Wayne Goss and you have a lot of experience doing unconventional things that work then awesome. But if you've ever actually put a cream on top of a powder then you would know why it doesn't work. Science doesn't change much.

    Girl, that foundation looks GORGEOUS on you! I mean it. Your skin looks flawless like porcelain. What makes it extra special is that while it looks so perfect and more of a full coverage, it doesn't look heavy on your skin. It's beautiful. Just wanted to say so. :)

    This video really shows the difference between a non-contoured and a contoured face. You obviously looked beautiful in the beginning of the video, but the highlighting and contouring makes your makeup look more put-together and multidimensional. I'll definitely have to try out contouring with creme based products though, I usually only use powder, but seeing your result gives me faith that it wont turn disastrous for me haha!

    • @NicquiMadden
      @NicquiMadden 9 років тому +2

      Jas Vance My point is very valid and I'm sure there are a lot of Jaclyn's fans who agree with me. If the reason for uploading videos is for educational purposes, then surely a valid question deserves a response from the Educator. You are the only one using this forum as a place to write the work "hater"; I'm really sorry that you have a hard time interpreting my comment! Specifically the "Comments" section is for responses to and questions about the tutorial. If you can read ... my initial comment was to Jaclyn and was VERY complimentary - not hateful! I am far too busy with much more important things to respond to. or even read, any more of your worthless comments.- so don't expect any subsequent "replies". I will continue to watch Jaclyn's tutorials as they ARE worth my time!

    How do you find your shade correctly?

    • @ShimmeryingBlood
      @ShimmeryingBlood 10 років тому

      Sally Lovesroses For foundation, I'm the lightest colour because I'm so fair. I usually end up with an ivory colour. If I wanted to highlight, would I need to wear a darker foundation?

      Unforeseen I have that exact same problem. Im an ivory color but dont know how lighter i can get with highlighting and concealer, I dont want to end up with really white circles under my eyes just looks bad

      Sara. It sucks doesn't it! I hate being so pale lol. Thanks Sally. I'm not really sure how to find a foundation more on the pink side.. I currently use the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation in Ivory.

    Cream contour nose at all???

    • @pavry
      @pavry 9 років тому +2

      +Angela Gregg yess!!! she does seem informative but i couldn't help but stare at her nose the whole time. as the video came to a close i screamed "FIX YOUR NOSE!" i have the same issue; my nose has a bump in it too; but surely if i'm going to all that trouble, i do my best to contour it out! just by the by, i actually really like the tarte and smashbox contour sticks for my nose, even if i blend them out with a small angled brush or even my fingers.

      she doesn't like to contour her nose. she broke it when she was a kid so it's crooked. since it's not completely straight its a lot more difficult to contour it and if you don't do it perfectly it looks bad.
