I suppose people must understand and appreciate this song. My son Tyson got it when he was perhaps ten. I was then hooked too. There are many versions but other than the originals this is one of the most superb and subtle in it's jazz. Yes, jazz. I lament the passing of Chris. I quickly came to love those songs. This version among the finest.
This version is much brighter, happier, and bouncier than I would have expected. She sounds great despite the over all emotional character of the song being much different than what I expected.
This surpasses the original - it was long overdue for an update, and this is just the sweetest, richest, classiest thing Chris Cornell could hope for one of his songs to sound like. In the hands of quite the singer and band!
