Well, I just made my first investment in VGS after watching your videos for the past 3 weeks over & over again. Now I know, why I invested & how this investment works.
    Thank you so much Sanjee!

@@kathleenstoner.n7499 Great advice. Generally, diversification is a key factor. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Pragmatically, I have been into all of these for some time, though I won't say I have made or lost a fortune. Do you mind recommending a specialist whose platform has diverse investing choices? Quite rare! I anticipate your response.

@@kathleenstoner.n7499 In all honesty, this is the second time I am coming across this Sandra Yvonne Webster. Last Tuesday, I saw a telecast on the economic bubble there were testimonials from her clientele on how they gain daily through her strategies. The testimonies were so impressive and sounded too good to be true. Though I made some research and found out she's one of the oldest by ranking, I am still skeptical. Do you work with her? Thanks.

Great tips Sanjee. I knew all this about starting early in my 30s when I first started earning and I did start, but ended up pulling everything out to buy my business and my home. I guess those were investments too. Now I'm about to hit 50 and am beginning to get back on top again.
Thanks for sharing your mistakes with us!

Great point regarding the emergency fund! Definitely helps you keep from dipping into your compounding investments if you have unexpected expenses.

Each month I purchase $500 additional shares of the ETF's I'm invested in, don't even care about the current share price, one month its higher, the next its lower. And when a DRP hits :D

$500 trade/parcel size is the minimum initial for ASX shares, doesn’t matter which broker.

@14:26 I thought it would be nice for us to buy you a coffee so that you don't have to withdraw from your investments to cover it. Then, I realised that buying a coffee machine would be a better long-term option. Thanks for your videos, Sanjee!

Sanjee - you have advocated 4/5 ETFs as the ones to consider. If one can afford 2k a month and say we want to buy in to all 5 ETFS - how would you plan it from a dollar cost averaging? i.e. the time between buying the same ETF could be 4-5 months apart.

Totally disagree regarding not investing in individual stocks. If you have $100,000 in an Australian ETF, then about 10% of that (more or less) will be in BHP, but if you have $10000 in BHP directly i dont see the problem. Plus you’ll get the full franking benefits, and no capital gain or loss issues until you sell. Also let’s say you have $100,000 in A200, then that’s about $25,000 in the top banks. Add it all up - your investment in an Australian ETF will generally mean you have about half in the big banks and the miners. Is this what people want? Why can’t they sprinkle their money across their favourite companies and do their own weighting?

I know you're not a financial advisor but would you give a thumbs up or thumbs down to this comment?
