I drove to 2 Dollar Trees to find the magazine and the Lily of the valley card. I’m going to be making a junk journal out of them. I can’t wait to try the embossing and sanding technique. I really learned a lot of new techniques from you through this series of videos.

Also the fabric flowers really added an elegant touch, but I think the most important key, of course, is your artistic eye and talent for adding just the right touches. Love that you are donating your journal to help save the bridge. I love those old bridges, too. I hope a bidding war breaks out for your journal.
@@BeAgainBooks Now that you mention it, I don’t think that I have either, except for a walking bridge I crossed once in British Columbia-with my heart in my mouth. Ha ha I looked up this bridge and how interesting its history is. It was fun to learn about it.

Thank you for sharing your journal! I was excited to see you using paper piercing and crocheting on the envelope. For a while now, I've been saving paper piercing ideas on Pinterest. I haven't used them in my journals, yet, but I hope to soon. I've tried crocheting on the edge of tags, but it didn't turn out very well. After seeing your video, I may have to try it again! I love how it looks on the edge of your envelope. ❤
Great job. I don't have Dollar Tree in my local town but I looked when I got to a larger city...and also looked at 5 below so guess I'll start checking those places...although Amazon and other online companies are too easy when you live in the sticks.

Then I had the colors, so I went around the store looking for the rest of the stuff. I think the best choices were obviously the cards, but also the paint and the silk flowers! My favorite is the card on the cover, for sure. And the most useful was the magazine, to get some color. Thanks for your interest Keryn and always for your loving support!
Thoroughly enjoyed watching all the videos. Saw many of the tried and true techniques but the piercing and crocheting the edge of an envelope was a new one for me. Must try that. I have a question. Were the magazine pages pretty sturdy or did you have to back them before embossing? Love the idea that you donated the journal to a bridge preservation project. I love old bridges. When I was on vacation a few years ago on Canada’s east coast, I spent an entire day driving to many covered bridges in New Brunswick. ❤❤
